About 2002 Chevrolet Camaro
2002 marks the end of production for the Chevy Camaro, once considered the flagship automobile for Chevrolet. First produced in 1967, the eight-cyclinder muscle car became an instanct classic, but saw sales decline in the late 90's. The 2002 model had an improved sound system and a standard automatic transmission for the V6's. The convertible and T-top models on each of the trims is available in a special 35th anniversary issue produced only in 2002, which includes a dash plaque above the audio system, nose-to-tail stripes, and embroidery on the seats of the SS. Rumors abound that a concept Camaro shown in 2006 may signal a return of the Camaro in 2008 or 2009.
