Drives like a dream... Hugs the road and quick on the pedal...

This car drives like it is "on rails". I have owned other high performance cars but this one out performs even my favorite Corvette. More importantly, it does it in total quiet and comfort that you would expect from a luxury sport car. Jaguar has always been an exotic but this one takes out the reliability fear associated with the old Jag's. With Ford's oversight Jaguar is a new beast, and a force to be reckoned with. I was torn between the XK8 or a Mercedes SLK....until I drove them both.....there was no question after that.

I fell in love with this car the moment I saw it. Although it is a few years old now I still think that no other Jag comes close to the looks of the beauty and the compliments never stop coming.

The XK8 is ALMOST the attention grabber as the XKE. Ive seen a lot of the advertised with 170K+ miles. I was looking for a convertible with a large enough trunk to carry a wheelchair, and unfortunately this car wont work for me. Closest I can find to meeting my needs is a BMW 645, but it doesnt have the appeal of the Jag.

I have admired the XK series only from pictures. I had done a lot of research online but never saw one in the flesh. When one showed up at a used car dealer close to home I went and looked at it. It punched all the right buttons and I ended up buying it. I dont have a feel for this particular cars reliability but with only 39000 miles I felt I should be good for a while yet. I knew repair costs and parts can be high but hopefully that will be in the distant future as this wont be a daily driver. It is fun to drive and gets a lot of attention. It has a DVD based navigation system that is pretty useless as the latest updated DVD is about 2012 and the little screen is hard to read while driving. Everything else works though. Time will tell.
