About 2002 Lexus RX
The RX 300 featured minor improvements for 2002. The most notable was the faster and more efficient navigation system, which added multiple languages, and increased map database, and a route preview feature. The in-dash computer screen was also now able to display DVDs. The RX 300 featured the same 3.0 Liter V-6, making 220 horsepower and providing 222 lb.-ft. of torque. The RX continued to surprise drivers who expected more SUV-like attributes. The gas mileage was quite high at 19/24 mpg, and the RX's unibody construction gave it a soft and cushioned ride. Like all Lexus models the RX was marked by its reliability. Infrequent problems were reported in all areas except the engine. Many owners have noted the failure of two sensors (Mass Air Flow and Air Fuel Ratio). While drivers have generally found the RX 300's interior to be very comfortable and functional, many have commented on the odd hump in the center console, which is restrictive and easy to bump the knees into while driving.
