About 2006 Chevrolet SSR
The 2006 Chevrolet SSR is a nice car: it has retro-styling and pays homage to its roots (the 70s classic El Camino). However, Chevy for some reason thought customers would want to pay upwards of $36,600. We're talking near-Corvette dollars for a car on a frame based on the Chevy TrailBlazer. Admittedly, the engine is more 'Vette than 'Blazer. It has a 6.0-liter V8 rated at 395 horsepower for a 4-speed automatic and at 400 horsepower for a 6-speed manual. The SSR raised a lot of interest as a convertible version of a car-truck. Did you get that? Unfortunately for Chevrolet, most consumers didn't either.
