Just got back from my European delivery of my new SL55. What a car! We had a great time on the autobahn. The car was simply amazing. Smooth and silky right up to the computer- limited top-speed of 155 mph. This car has it all--luxury, acceleration, handling, looks, and a retractable hard-top. I just can't say enough good things about the chassis changes for 2007. Huge improvement over my 2003 SL500.

Full of electronics, this top end Mercedes is a real monster. Acceleration is helped by the traction control system that gives just enough away for a perfect tget start. Quality can not be faulted and the amount of gadgets will keep you entertained for miles. If you like Mercedes-Benz, this one's for you.

I have owned a few of these cars and they are amazing. By far one of the coolest and most enjoyable cars ever made.

well hell....its a mercedes, thats really all that needs to be said. its a beautiful piece of machinery. styling is can not be matched. I HATE TO SAY THIS... i would rather have a used mercedes and the maintence (which is not that bad) if you just take care of it, than any american car... the caddy has went to shit with all crap (plastic) they put in it. we were out buying my wife a new car and drove the 2020 xt5...how depressing. thats it for my rant... to answer the original question... the sl550 is a good value for the price... you need to do your homework. i decided to buy a 2008 sl550 instead
