CarGurus Analysis: 2015 Lincoln MKC
overall

Summary
With 252 currently listed for sale and an average price of $9,870, 27.8% of 2015 Lincoln MKC listings on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2015 Lincoln MKC 4.71 / 5 stars and CarGurus experts gave it a 7.17 / 10.
56.7% of 2015 Lincoln MKC listings on CarGurus are accident free.
Why it stands out
The 2015 Lincoln MKC stands out as Lincoln’s new entry-level luxury crossover, and its appeal starts with the way it tries to make the brand feel more focused. It is positioned as a compact luxury SUV that aims to catch attention with a premium look and a strong feature set rather than simply blending into the crowd.
One of its most distinctive traits is the engine choice described in the test-drive data: a turbocharged 4-cylinder with nearly 300 horsepower and torque to match. That gives the MKC a more performance-oriented personality than many buyers might expect from an entry-level luxury crossover. The same source also points to sexy interior materials, an optional adaptive suspension, and a panoramic sunroof, all of which help give it a more upscale feel. Owners echo that impression, often praising the smooth ride, comfort, and luxurious features, along with the value it offers.
The MKC is not without compromises, though. Some drivers wish it had more legroom and cargo space, suggesting that its cabin can feel a bit cramped, especially for passengers. Even so, for buyers who want a stylish, comfortable luxury crossover with a strong engine and a premium presentation, the 2015 Lincoln MKC has a lot to offer.

Initial impression was great. Comfortable to drive and has a luxurious feel to it. Pictures made it seem much larger than it was though, along with some other reviews from 3rd parties noting it was comparable to a Ford escape. The inside felt more like a compact hatchback. Comfy for the driver and front passenger if the chairs are all the way back but you wouldnt be able to fit any additional passengers comfortably and the trunk has very little space.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Lincoln MKC?
At 57.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing has been in an accident or has a long option list. Pay close attention to how the cabin, electronics, and safety features work, since the MKC’s appeal depends heavily on its premium equipment and comfort features.
Key things to evaluate:
- Trim level: The base 2.0-liter setup is the starting point, while the Reserve Equipment Group adds dual power-folding heated mirrors, a panoramic sunroof, blind-spot and cross-traffic alerts, navigation with voice recognition, heated and cooled front seats, and a hands-free liftgate. The Technology Package adds adaptive cruise with forward sensors and lane-keeping assist, and the Climate Package adds automatic high-beam control, automatic wipers, heated rear seats, and a heated steering wheel.
- Powertrain: The base turbocharged 2.0-liter engine makes 240 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque, while the 2.3-liter turbocharged engine is described as the more powerful option with nearly 300 horsepower and torque to match. The 2.0-liter returns 20 mpg city/29 highway in FWD form and 19/26 with AWD; the 2.3-liter is AWD-only and is rated at 18/26.
- Safety package: Standard equipment includes stability and traction control, 4-wheel antilock disc brakes, a rear-view camera, and a full set of airbags including driver's knee and full-length side curtains. Available driver aids include blind-spot monitoring, frontal-collision prevention with pre-brake, lane-keeping, and rear cross-traffic alerts.
- Infotainment: The MKC includes navigation with voice recognition on equipped trims, and the THX sound system pairs easily with multiple phones. The panoramic sunroof can brighten the cabin, but it can also wash out the screens when the sun is behind you.
- Fuel efficiency: The base 2.0-liter returns 20 mpg city/29 highway in FWD form and 19/26 with AWD, while the 2.3-liter AWD setup is rated at 18/26.

- Price trend: Prices have softened 10.63% compared with last year.

What is the 2015 Lincoln MKC's resale value?
The current average of $9,844 sits slightly below last year's $11,015.
That softer pricing suggests the MKC has become more accessible for used buyers, but it also means a future seller may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy well now, you may have less downside risk than someone who paid closer to last year’s higher average.
The model’s value story is helped by its strong owner satisfaction and premium feature set, which can keep demand steady among shoppers looking for a compact luxury crossover.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.71/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Is the 2015 Lincoln MKC safe?
The MKC earns a Good rating from IIHS and a four-star overall rating from NHTSA, with four-star frontal and five-star side-impact ratings.
It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.
Standard safety equipment includes stability and traction control, 4-wheel antilock disc brakes, a rear-view camera, and a full set of airbags including driver's knee and full-length side curtains. - 30.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- At 57.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 10.63% compared with last year.

If you’re especially price-sensitive, focus on the best-equipped example you can find rather than chasing the newest or most expensive listing, since the market already gives you some leverage on this model year.
