Used 2016 Buick Cascada for SaleNationwide

How much does the 2016 Buick Cascada cost?

Prices have softened 8.19% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 147 listings available, which gives you a modest pool to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2016 Buick Cascada a good car?

Yes — the 2016 Buick Cascada earns a 5/5 user rating, and our experts give it 6.17/10. The model scores 7/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, and Cost effectiveness.

Owners consistently praise the beautiful styling, enjoyable driving experience, and roomy back seat. You also get a convertible that feels especially suited to relaxed open-air cruising, with the top up or down, and the variety of available options adds to its appeal.

That lines up with the car’s use case: you’re looking at a traditional-feeling convertible that prioritizes style and easygoing driving over modern performance or cutting-edge tech. 31.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there’s some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 Buick Cascada reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a car that feels dependable in the ways that matter to you if you want a relaxed, trouble-free convertible experience. The emphasis on enjoyable driving, beautiful styling, and a roomy back seat suggests a model that owners can count on for everyday use and weekend cruising alike.

Buick’s setup also leans toward comfort and simplicity, which can help reduce ownership stress if you value straightforward use over complexity. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that age-related wear and neglected maintenance may matter more than the car’s basic character, so condition should drive your decision.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Buick Cascada?

At 61.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a hands-on inspection of the body, top mechanism, and interior condition. Because this is a convertible, you’ll want to pay close attention to signs of water intrusion, wear around the roof seals, and any evidence that the car has been used hard or stored poorly.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Convertible trim already includes a power soft top, adaptive xenon headlights, remote engine start, heated leather power seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated mirrors, rear parking sensors, a rear-view camera, a heated steering wheel, 20-inch alloys, foglights, voice controls, and smartphone integration for the 7-inch touchscreen. The Premium trim adds forward-collision warning, lane-departure warning, front and rear parking sensors, auto wipers, and interior air deflectors.
• Powertrain: The Cascada uses a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine with about 200 horsepower and 207 lb-ft of torque, but the car’s weight makes it feel underpowered. Efficiency is also a weak point, with an EPA-estimated 20 mpg city/27 highway and 23 mpg combined.
• Safety package: Standard safety equipment includes antilock discs, traction and stability control, a full suite of airbags, and rollover-deploying safety hoops. The Premium trim adds forward-collision warning and lane-departure warning, while blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are not part of the package.
• Infotainment: The Cascada uses a 7-inch touchscreen with smartphone integration, but the system is described as dated and complicated. Wireless phone integration and over-the-air update capability are not indicated.
• Fuel efficiency: The Cascada is rated at 20 mpg city and 27 mpg highway, with 23 mpg combined.

Which 2016 Buick Cascada trim should I buy?

The 2016 Buick Cascada is offered in 2 trim levels: Convertible and Premium.

Here's the short version:

• Convertible: This is the trim to focus on if you want the best value. It already brings a power soft top, heated leather power seats, dual-zone climate control, a heated steering wheel, rear parking sensors, a rear-view camera, adaptive xenon headlights, and smartphone integration, so you’re not starting from a stripped-down base car.
• Premium: Choose this if you want the added driver-assistance features, especially forward-collision warning and lane-departure warning, along with front and rear parking sensors, auto wipers, and interior air deflectors. It makes sense if you want the most complete version of the Cascada and are willing to pay more for it.

The Premium trim adds the safety systems and convenience features that help close some of the Cascada’s tech gap.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Buick Cascada?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 31.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 147 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.19% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 61.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $12,356, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Buick Cascada's resale value?

The current average of $13,099 sits slightly below last year's $14,266.

That decline suggests the Cascada has softened in the market, which can be a mixed signal if you plan to sell later. On one hand, lower entry prices can help you buy in at a better value now. On the other hand, a car that has already moved down in price may not give you a strong short-term appreciation story.

If you’re thinking about resale, condition and equipment will matter a lot. A clean, well-kept example should be easier to move than one with accident history or visible wear, especially in a niche convertible market.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2016 Buick Cascada safe?

The 2016 Buick Cascada has not yet been tested by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, and Buick anticipates a five-star rating.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

The Cascada comes with standard safety features like antilock discs, traction and stability control, a full suite of airbags including front-seat side and front knee airbags, and rollover-deploying safety hoops. The Premium trim adds forward-collision warning and lane-departure warning, but blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are missing, which is a notable gap for a car in this class.

Should I buy a 2016 Buick Cascada or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 31.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 61.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.19% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It stands out as Buick’s first convertible in 25 years, with a classic cruising character and a roomy back seat.

The bottom line: If you want a traditional-feeling convertible and you’re shopping for value, the 2016 Cascada is worth a look, especially if you can find a clean example with the equipment you want. If you’re more price-sensitive, focus on the lower end of the range and be selective about condition, because accident history and aging tech can matter more than the badge here.
