How much does the 2019 Dodge Journey cost?

There are 1,220 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2019 Dodge Journey a good car?

The 2019 Dodge Journey is a mixed-value choice, but the 3.6/5 user rating shows that many shoppers find enough to like in it. Owners commonly point to the spacious three-row seating, the powerful V6 engine, and useful cold-weather features like all-wheel drive and heated seats. The interior design also gets positive mention, even as some reviewers want more storage and stronger acceleration.

With 27.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have room to shop selectively and focus on the better-priced examples.

Is the 2019 Dodge Journey reliable?

Owners’ feedback suggests the 2019 Dodge Journey can be dependable in the ways that matter most to some used buyers, especially when it comes to everyday usability and long-term comfort in colder climates. The strongest reliability-related praise centers on the V6 powertrain and the confidence some drivers feel with all-wheel drive and heated seats.

At the same time, the mixed owner feedback means you should be cautious about condition and maintenance history, since long-term ownership risk is higher when a used SUV has uneven prior care.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Dodge Journey?

At 62% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection so you can catch hidden issues that may not show up in photos or a short test drive. Pay close attention to body condition, road manners, and the operation of features owners have flagged, especially the backup camera and stability-related concerns.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Dodge Journey?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient and focused on condition.

• Deal availability: 27.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,220 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.25% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 62.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $10,975, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Dodge Journey's resale value?

The current average of $11,064 sits slightly below last year's $12,467.

That decline suggests the market has moved in buyers’ favor, which can make the Journey easier to purchase now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you can help protect your future resale position. For a future seller, the key will be standing out with clean history, good maintenance records, and a well-kept interior.

Should I buy a 2019 Dodge Journey or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 27.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 62% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.25% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2019 is a reasonable pick if you want a lower-priced Journey and are willing to shop carefully for condition and history. If you’re price-sensitive, this year can make sense when you find a clean, well-maintained example near the low end of the range; otherwise, it’s worth comparing nearby years to see whether a better-maintained listing offers more value for your budget.
