Why it stands out
The 2019 Genesis G80 stands out as a luxury sedan that delivers a lot of equipment and refinement for the money. It was part of the first-generation G80, which came standard with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitors, lane-keep assist, high-beam assist, and a rear-view camera. That combination helped give the car a strong safety and convenience foundation, and it also earned the model a Top Safety Pick+ award from the IIHS every year it was produced, along with a five-star overall rating from the NHTSA.
For 2019, Genesis added a Sport package to G80 sedans powered by the standard 3.8-liter V6. That package brought copper and carbon-fiber trim, giving the sedan a more distinctive look without changing its basic character. The broader appeal of the G80 remained its value: it offered a premium experience at a lower price than comparable German luxury sedans, while still providing a comfortable cabin and a suspension tuned for body control and ride comfort.
There are tradeoffs, though. The 2019 G80 was not the most engaging choice in its class, and its fuel economy was not especially strong. It also lacked the extra power of the turbocharged sport model, so buyers drawn to the G80 for its upscale feel and generous features may be more satisfied than those looking for the sharpest performance.

This is my second Genesis. I have searched for a year and a half for this one. I have driven Lexus, BMW, Cadillac etc. there are none that compare to the Genesis. Luxury at its finest. Smooth, quiet ride and is absolutely gorgeous!
