Is the 2019 Honda Odyssey a good car?

Yes — the 4.95/5 user rating points to very strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the spacious interior, comfort, safety features, and useful technology, and the Odyssey’s family-hauler layout makes it especially appealing if you want seating flexibility and everyday practicality. The overview also highlights its comfortable, quiet, and easy-to-live-with character, which fits well if you want a minivan that feels more refined than purely utilitarian. With 35.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 Honda Odyssey reliable?

Owners rate it 4.95/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback emphasizes reliability, and the review summary also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience with strong confidence over the long term. That kind of sentiment matters if you plan to keep the vehicle for years, because it suggests the Odyssey has earned trust from people living with it day to day. For used buyers, that lowers long-term ownership risk, especially if you verify maintenance history and buy a well-kept example.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Honda Odyssey?

At 61.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, especially if a listing looks unusually well priced. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection so you can check for bodywork quality, signs of wear, and any issues that may not show up in photos. Focus on overall condition, maintenance records, and how well the cabin and family-use features have held up.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Honda Odyssey?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 35.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,488 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.80% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 61.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $21,445, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Honda Odyssey's resale value?

The current average of $21,735 sits slightly below last year's $23,574.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy at a better entry point today. For a future seller, it also means resale value may depend more heavily on condition, mileage, and trim level than on broad market momentum. Well-kept examples should still hold appeal because family buyers tend to value the Odyssey’s practicality and comfort.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.95/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Honda Odyssey or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 35.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 61.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.80% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.95/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $19,713, the 2018 costs less than the current year's $21,735 average.
• The 2018 brings a redesigned fifth-generation package with more features, better handling, and improved versatility.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market balance of price, satisfaction, and availability, the 2019 is the better default choice. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2018 is the more price-sensitive path and still delivers the core Odyssey strengths.
