Why it stands out
The 2019 Nissan Titan stands out as a full-size pickup that leans on strength, comfort, and useful equipment rather than sheer configurability. For this generation, Nissan kept the 5.6-liter V8 and rated it at 390 horsepower and 394 lb-ft of torque, paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission. All trims were available with rear- or four-wheel drive, and the truck could be had in single-cab, two-door and crew-cab, four-door configurations, with a King Cab added in late 2017. That mix gave the Titan a straightforward, work-ready character while still offering enough variety for buyers who wanted a more traditional pickup layout.
Inside, the Titan’s appeal came from a refreshed cabin and a long list of practical features. Nissan moved the gearshift to the column and created a center console large enough to store a 15-inch laptop, while Zero Gravity seats helped give the truck a more comfortable feel than many rivals. Bluetooth phone connectivity, push-button ignition, and a back-up camera were included, and available equipment ranged from GPS navigation and SiriusXM Satellite Radio to an electronic locking rear tailgate, an electric locking rear differential, hill descent control, and a trailer tow package with an integrated trailer brake controller. The 2019 infotainment update added standard GPS navigation, a color touchscreen display, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone functionality, and a new premium Fender audio system.
The Titan’s strengths were balanced by some clear limitations. It was praised for its powerful engine, quiet cabin, and accessible tech, but it also carried poor fuel economy, limited bed and cab configurations, and no alternative engines. Even so, that combination of standard V8 power, useful storage, and a comfortable interior made the 2019 Nissan Titan distinctive for buyers who wanted a full-size truck with a simpler, more focused personality.

So far so good, although a bit concerned after the fact of a number of negative reviews, many dealing with Nissans refusal to honor warranty on defects that clearly should be covered. From our research, it seems that used Titans generally go for $4-6k less than comparably equipped other full size truck brands. I love having the gear shift on the column (at 75, Ive no need for boy racer floor shifters, and it opens up an unprecedented amount of storage in the myriad center consoles. In fact, so much storage everywhere it is doubtful well ever fill it all up. Power, of course, is truly exhilirating for such a huge truck, and were somewhat more comfortable knowing we have 3.5 years and 85k miles left on factory warranty. We bought primarly to have a better tow vehicle for our RV trailer. This comes right out of the box ready to roll, with 4 and 7 pin connectors at rear, a Tow button on shifter to adjust transmission behavior accordingly when hauling a huge load. It even comes with a pre-wired plug for trailer brake controller hiding up under the dash . I guess this is standard procedure now for most brands, but Nissan even included an adapter wiring harness in the glovebox for hooking up your own preferred brand of brake controller (Our Reese Towpower unit, @ $51 Amazon, provides flawless, proportional brake control). The sound system is absolutely the BEST sounding ever, including the wifes BMW and my after-market Porsche unit. Road noise is virtually non-existent, so no need to crank up the volume to enjoy the music. The multi-page between-the-clocks info display is ingenuous, showing trip info, compass, ext temp, extraneous gauge info (such as transmission temperature) and song details when playing Pandora, which, by the way, performs flawlessly via the standard Android Auto interface (Apple car play an option too, but were not Apple people). The built in Navigation function (updateable FREE on Nissans website) rivals anything Google Maps (via Android Auto) can throw at it, and very intuitive to use. The hard buttons on either side of the nav display are just perfect for not having to search through screens when driving.. MENU, SONG FORWARD/BACK, etc. And, the keyless fob system is the best Ive experienced. Just keep it in your pocket for everything. I particularly like the small Command Button right on the exterior door handle. Just press once (as long as fob in your pocket), to lock/unlock. Supposedly, the system is smart enough to detect when the fob is INSIDE the cab (Whaaa?) and then disallow locking from outside. Of course, the pull down driver-side step at the rear bumper is mandatory.. no more busted shins. Best of all, is being able to be set apart from the herd driving Chevy, Ford, or Dodge. Its nice to be a bit unique. So far, I just cant find a single thing I would change with this truck.

This is 2nd Nissan Titan Xd I have owned. 1st one was 2017 crew cab SV gas and I drove it for 86k miles with only 1 issue. Tailgate damper broke. Loved it and it towed great . I generally tow a 7x16x6 ft dump trailer for mainly household items. Purchased a 2019 Gmc sierra 1500 crew cab because looks and reviews. I hooked it up to trailer and it squatted so badly I couldnt pull trailer unless it was 1/2 full had it for 2 months and traded for a tried and true 2019 crew cab xd pro 4 x gas. So far love it just as I did first one. This one is loaded compared to the SV that I had. I immediately could tell difference from the GMC which was beautiful and drove nice and was a great truck just wasnt what I should have bought. . The XD just feels more solid but I do have to sacrifice a little bit of mpg from the GMC but I can live with that. I average 17.5 to 18 mpg on highway 15 in the city. I know Nissan doesnt normally rank up there with the big 3 but for the money to have a loaded Titan pro 4x with 100k bumper to bumper warranty its very hard to beat. Hopefully this will help someone in their decision.

How much does the 2019 Nissan Titan cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $24,739 |
| Year-Round Low | $24,730.88 |
| Year-Round High | $27,125.74 |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $27,130 |
| Change vs. Last Year | −8.81% |
Prices have softened 8.81% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.
There are 835 listings available, which gives you a meaningful pool to compare prices and conditions.
If you find a listing below $24,730.88, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
Is the 2019 Nissan Titan a good car?
Yes — the 2019 Nissan Titan earns a 4.75/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction.
Owners consistently praise its power, smooth ride, and useful towing capability. They also highlight the abundant storage and value for the features and warranty, which makes it appealing if you want a full-size pickup that feels practical and comfortable rather than overly complicated.
For you, that means the Titan fits best if you want a straightforward truck with strong hauling ability, a roomy cabin, and everyday usability. The market also shows 27.4% of listings as good or great deals, so there are still some attractive opportunities if you shop carefully.
Is the 2019 Nissan Titan reliable?
Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The owner feedback also points to dependable performance, with repeated praise for its power, smooth ride, and value over time. Reviewers describe it as a truck they feel good about living with, especially when they need towing strength and useful storage.
For used buyers, that suggests the bigger ownership risk is less about the truck’s core character and more about finding one that has been maintained well and not worn hard.
What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Nissan Titan?
At 66.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from trucks with collision records. After that, prioritize a thorough inspection of the body, frame, and bed for signs of repair or heavy use.
Because this is a pickup, condition matters as much as mileage. Focus on how the truck was used, whether towing equipment was installed, and whether the cabin and cargo area show signs of hard work.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Nissan Titan?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay disciplined.
- Deal availability: 27.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 835 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 8.81% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 66.8% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $24,730.88, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2019 Nissan Titan's resale value?
The current average of $24,739 sits slightly below last year's $27,130.
That softer pricing can help you buy more truck for the money today, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays subdued. If you plan to sell later, your best protection is choosing a clean, well-kept example that stands out from the broader inventory.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2019 Nissan Titan or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2019 if:
- 27.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- At 66.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 8.81% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
Consider the 2020 if:
- At $26,861, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $24,739 average.
- It brings major gains in technology, safety, and overall value.
The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2019 is the smarter starting point because pricing has eased and owner satisfaction is strong. If you can stretch for a newer truck and want the broader improvements in tech and safety, the 2020 is the better upgrade path. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2019 offers the more compelling balance of cost and satisfaction.
