Used 2020 Audi Q8 for Sale nearRochester, NY

How much does the 2020 Audi Q8 cost?

Prices have softened 14.17% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 627 listings available, which gives you a meaningful pool to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2020 Audi Q8 a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Audi Q8 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.17/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Performance, Technology, and Safety.

The Q8 is aimed at you if you want a performance-focused crossover with a sporty mission, two rows, and a luxury-first cabin. It also brings plenty of cargo space and impressive technology, which helps balance its style-driven design.

The main trade-offs are its poor ergonomic design and fairly pedestrian performance in the standard model. If you want more urgency, the SQ8 and RS Q8 are the higher-performance paths in the lineup.

38.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there is still room to shop selectively.

Is the 2020 Audi Q8 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Q8 is described as a premium SUV with strong build quality and a refined, upscale character. Its standard turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive, and the power delivery is described as smooth even if it is not especially exciting.

The model also includes a four-year/50,000-mile basic warranty, which helps with early ownership coverage. For used buyers, the bigger long-term risk is that a luxury SUV like this can be costly to keep in top shape if prior maintenance was skipped.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Audi Q8?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because accident-free status does not replace a full inspection. Prioritize a close look at the cabin controls, seat comfort, and overall ergonomics, since this model is known for being less satisfying to live with than its rivals.

A pre-purchase inspection should also focus on the condition of the technology and convenience features, since this SUV leans heavily on its screens and electronic systems. If you are comparing listings, make sure the equipment level matches what you expect for the trim and that any optional safety or comfort features are actually present.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Q8 gives you the core luxury-SUV experience, while the higher trims add more upscale equipment and a richer feel. The SQ8 and RS Q8 bring more aggressive styling and more performance-oriented hardware, so they suit you if you want a more serious driving edge.
• Powertrain: The standard model uses a turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine with an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. The SQ8 and RS Q8 move to a turbocharged 4.0-liter V8, with the RS Q8 tuned for the strongest output and quickest acceleration.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes high beam assist, automatic windshield wipers, parking sensors, and forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking. The SQ8 and RS Q8 also get Audi side assist, rear cross-traffic alert, rear automatic emergency braking, a 360-degree camera system, and vehicle exit warning as standard, while those features are available on the Q8.
• Infotainment: The cabin uses dual screens with Audi’s MMI system, and all three models include navigation, Audi Virtual Cockpit, a WiFi hot spot, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, HD Radio, SiriusXM, Bluetooth, Amazon Alexa integration, and front and rear smartphone compatibility.
• Fuel efficiency: The standard Q8 is rated at 17 mpg in the city, 21 mpg on the highway, and 18 mpg combined. The SQ8 returns 15 mpg in the city, 21 mpg on the highway, and 17 mpg combined, while the RS Q8 is rated at 13 mpg in the city, 19 mpg on the highway, and 15 mpg combined.

Which 2020 Audi Q8 trim should I buy?

The 2020 Audi Q8 is offered in 3 trim levels: Audi Q8 Premium, Audi Q8 Prestige, and Audi Q8 Premium Plus.

Here's the short version:

• Audi Q8 Premium: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Q8 experience with the standard turbocharged V6, all-wheel drive, dual-screen infotainment, and the luxury features that define the model. It makes the most sense if you want the Q8’s style and technology without paying for extras you may not need.
• Audi Q8 Prestige: This trim is the better choice if you want a more fully equipped luxury SUV and expect to keep the vehicle for a while. It builds on the base model with a richer feature set and is the trim to target if you want the best balance of equipment and value.
• Audi Q8 Premium Plus: This is the most upscale standard Q8 trim, so it is the one to consider if you want the most complete version of the regular model before moving into the performance variants. It suits you if you want a more premium feel and are willing to pay for it.

The SQ8 and RS Q8 sit above the standard Q8 lineup and add more performance-focused character, while the SQ8 and RS Q8 also include additional safety equipment as standard.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Audi Q8?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 38.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 627 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.17% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 81.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $31,080, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Audi Q8's resale value?

The current average of $31,203 sits slightly below last year's $36,356.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the Q8 more attractive to used buyers today. For you as a future seller, it means resale value may be more sensitive to condition, mileage, and equipment than it would be in a rising market.

Well-kept examples with strong feature content should hold up better than neglected ones, especially because shoppers in this segment tend to compare equipment closely. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Audi Q8 safe?

The 2020 Audi Q8 has received very good safety ratings from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and near-perfect crash test ratings from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes high beam assist, automatic windshield wipers, parking sensors, and forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking. The SQ8 and RS Q8 add Audi side assist, rear cross-traffic alert, rear automatic emergency braking, a 360-degree camera system, and vehicle exit warning as standard, while those features are available on the Q8.

You can also add more advanced driver-assistance tech, including active lane departure warning with collision avoidance, adaptive cruise control with traffic jam assist, traffic sign recognition, a head-up display with navigation assistance, intersection assist, turn assist, night vision assist with pedestrian and large animal detection, and predictive traffic efficiency assist.

Should I buy a 2020 Audi Q8 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 38.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.17% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2020 model combines strong technology, a sporty mission, and the option of higher-performance SQ8 and RS Q8 variants.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of current pricing, inventory depth, and the Q8’s sporty luxury character, the 2020 is the one to focus on. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can use the softened market to shop patiently and target the cleanest, best-equipped example rather than stretching for a newer year.
