About 2020 Nissan GT-R
The Nissan GT-R caused a sensation when it debuted for 2009. For 2020, the GT-R gets a power increase and a few updates. At the heart of each GT-R is the 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V6. In the base Premium trim and the 50th Anniversary GT-R, it makes 565 horsepower and 467 pound-feet of torque. The advanced all-wheel-drive (AWD) system pushes the coupe on to a top speed of nearly 200 mph. The Track Edition and NISMO get more power, making 600 hp and 481 lb-ft of torque. All come with a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT). The GT-R manages 16 mpg city, 22 highway, and 18 combined on premium fuel. Trims include Premium, 50th Anniversary, Track Edition, and NISMO. The Premium trim gets a new titanium muffler with burnished blue tips and newly designed turbochargers. The 50th Anniversary Edition offers striking paint choices: Bayside Blue with white stripes, Pearl White with red stripes, or Super Silver with white stripes. It also adds badging throughout the interior along with unique leather seats. The Track Edition now gets the same engine as the NISMO and comes standard with a unique front spoiler and two-tone Recaro seats; carbon-ceramic brakes are available. The NISMO adds more carbon fiber to the bodywork and new turbochargers, along with a NISMO-tuned suspension, special 20-inch alloy wheels, a stiffer chassis, a front splitter, a carbon-fiber rear wing, and additional carbon-fiber body panels. The amount of space in the trunk is decent at 8.8 cubic feet. The 2020 Nissan GT-R has not been crash-tested. Safety features are limited to an advanced airbag system and a 4-point safety harness. The Acura NSX, Audi R8, and higher-tier versions of both the Chevrolet Corvette and Porsche 911 are all worthy competitors of the Nissan GT-R.
