Is the 2022 Audi Q8 a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for the 2022 Audi Q8. It stands out as Audi’s flagship SUV with a coupe-like shape, a more exclusive feel than the Q7, and a design that leans sporty and luxurious rather than purely practical. It is less of a family hauler and more of a high-end SUV with a cleaner, more distinctive presence, and its standard equipment and well-rounded performance make it appealing if you want premium style with strong everyday capability. 39.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Audi Q8 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2022 Audi Q8 is described as having strong standard equipment and a capable powertrain, but you should also factor in the mention of high maintenance costs and possible issues with the 48-volt mild hybrid system, the air suspension, and infotainment software glitches. For used buyers, that means reliability can be good in day-to-day use, but long-term ownership risk is worth checking carefully before you commit.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Audi Q8?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a full history report and confirm the vehicle has not had hidden collision damage or repeated repairs. A pre-purchase inspection should focus on the air suspension, the 48-volt mild hybrid system, and infotainment behavior, since those are the areas called out as potential trouble spots. You should also pay close attention to overall condition, because premium SUVs like this can be expensive to refresh if wear and tear has been neglected.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Audi Q8?

This is a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile opportunities.

• Deal availability: 39.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 763 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.57% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 88.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $37,141, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Audi Q8's resale value?

The current average of $37,141 sits slightly below last year's $45,057.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, the softer current pricing means resale value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained. Premium SUVs with strong equipment and broad appeal can still hold buyer interest, but you should expect the market to reward clean history and careful upkeep.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Audi Q8 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 39.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.57% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2022 is a strong choice if you want the Q8’s upscale, sporty character and you value the combination of premium equipment and a lower current price than last year. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby model years and focus on the cleanest, best-priced example rather than chasing a specific year alone.
