How much does the 2022 BMW M3 cost?

Is the 2022 BMW M3 a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for the 2022 BMW M3. The overview shows a high-performance sedan that still works for everyday use, with a twin-turbocharged inline-six, strong acceleration, and a roomy trunk that adds real practicality. If you want a performance car that can also handle daily driving, this model year fits that use case well. The market also shows 29.5% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 BMW M3 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview points to a car that combines serious performance with everyday usability, and it also notes that used examples have held their value well. That said, you should still pay close attention to mileage, condition, and maintenance history because performance cars can carry higher long-term ownership risk if they have been driven hard or poorly maintained.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 BMW M3?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has higher mileage or a modified history. Focus on condition, maintenance records, and signs of hard use, since performance-oriented ownership can affect wear more quickly than on a typical sedan.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 BMW M3?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find opportunities.

• Deal availability: 29.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 234 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.43% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 84.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $71,631, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 BMW M3's resale value?

The current average of $72,838 sits slightly below last year's $76,218.

That softer pricing can help you buy with less risk of overpaying, but it also suggests the market has already adjusted downward from prior levels. For a future seller, that means resale value will depend heavily on how well the car has been maintained and how desirable its configuration is to other shoppers. Strong condition and clean history matter even more in a performance sedan like this.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 BMW M3 or consider a different year?

• Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.43% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $69,768, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $72,838 average.
• It feels more focused on pure driving excitement.

Consider the 2023 if:

The bottom line: The 2022 is the best all-around pick if you want strong performance, everyday usability, and a market that still offers some deal potential. If your priority is saving money, the 2021 is the better value path; if you want to spend more for a newer-feeling package, the 2023 is the upgrade route.
