Is the 2022 Dodge Challenger a good car?

Yes — the 4.72/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the fun-to-drive character, plenty of power, classic styling, and comfortable interior, while also appreciating the quiet cabin and plush seating. For you, that means the Challenger can work as a personality-first coupe that still offers some everyday usability, especially if you want modern tech in a classic muscle-car package. With 30.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2022 Dodge Challenger reliable?

Owners rate it 4.72/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a car that feels dependable in daily use, with praise for its comfortable cabin and the way it blends modern technology with classic appeal. That said, used buyers should focus on maintenance history and overall condition, since neglected examples can create more long-term ownership risk than a well-kept one.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Dodge Challenger?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 79.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a clean history report and confirm the car has not been neglected or abused. A thorough pre-purchase inspection matters here, especially if the car has seen spirited driving or modifications. Focus on overall condition, maintenance records, and signs of wear that could hint at harder use than the odometer suggests.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Dodge Challenger?

• Deal availability: 30.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,481 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 79.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $31,629, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Dodge Challenger's resale value?

The current average of $33,967 sits slightly above last year's $33,757.

That small increase suggests the market has stayed resilient rather than softening. For you as a future seller, that kind of stability can help preserve value if you buy a well-kept example and avoid overpaying up front. Strong condition and clean history should matter more than chasing the cheapest car on the lot.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.72/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Dodge Challenger or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 30.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 79.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.72/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $31,589, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $33,967 average.
• It emphasizes straight-line speed and value.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $43,036, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $33,967 average.
• It adds final-year special editions and more power.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the best all-around starting point if you want a balanced mix of price stability, strong owner satisfaction, and decent inventory. If your priority is saving money, the 2021 is the smarter secondary path; if you want the most special-edition appeal and are willing to pay more, the 2023 is the upgrade to watch.
