Is the 2022 Ford F-350 Super Duty reliable?

Owners rate it 4.71/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a truck that feels rugged, dependable, and well suited to heavy-duty use. That kind of reputation matters if you plan to keep the truck for the long haul, especially because buyers in this segment often count on durability as much as capability. For used shoppers, the main ownership risk is making sure a hard-working truck has been maintained properly and not overused beyond its intended duty cycle.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Ford F-350 Super Duty?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 85% — always verify the vehicle history report.

Start with the history report so you can confirm accident status, title history, and prior use. Then prioritize a thorough inspection of the truck’s condition, especially signs of heavy towing or work-truck wear. You should also focus on how the truck drives and whether the equipment you want is actually present and functioning as expected.

What is the 2022 Ford F-350 Super Duty's resale value?

The current average of $54,677 sits slightly below last year's $57,384.

That price movement suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, the softer trend means resale value may depend more heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment than on broad market momentum alone. Well-kept trucks with desirable towing features and strong demand in the heavy-duty segment should still hold attention better than neglected examples.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.71/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Ford F-350 Super Duty or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 30.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 85% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.72% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.71/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $49,267, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $54,677 average.
• It offers standout towing and hauling strength.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2022 if you want the stronger current-market balance of price, inventory, and owner satisfaction. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2021 is the better value path, especially if you can find one with the right equipment and condition.
