How much does the 2022 Honda Pilot cost?

Prices have softened 9.65% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,027 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2022 Honda Pilot a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Honda Pilot earns a 4.83/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise the spacious interior, smooth ride, and quiet cabin, and many also value the comfort-focused features that make it a practical family SUV. That fits well if you want a three-row SUV with broad everyday usefulness and modern connectivity. With 34.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2022 Honda Pilot reliable?

Owners rate it 4.83/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback also points to a dependable ownership experience, with drivers repeatedly describing the Pilot as comfortable and easy to live with over time. That kind of consistent praise for a family SUV suggests you should expect solid day-to-day usability if the vehicle has been maintained well. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the model’s appeal and more about making sure the specific example has a clean history and sound condition.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Honda Pilot?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 78.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the vehicle history report carefully, even when the market shows a healthy share of clean listings. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on overall condition, signs of prior damage, and how well the cabin and features have held up. Since this model is often chosen for family use, pay close attention to wear that could come from heavy daily use.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Honda Pilot?

This looks like a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 34.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,027 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.65% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 78.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $28,532, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Honda Pilot's resale value?

The current average of $28,532 sits slightly below last year's $31,578.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more affordably now but may also limit near-term appreciation if you plan to resell soon. For future sellers, the current pricing trend means your return will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained. Strong examples should still hold buyer interest because the Pilot remains a practical, family-friendly choice.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.83/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Honda Pilot or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 34.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 78.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.65% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.83/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $25,165, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $28,532 average.
• It emphasizes roomy, easy-to-use comfort with straightforward technology.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $36,944, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $28,532 average.
• It brings a full redesign with more power and a more rugged look.

The bottom line: The 2022 is the best all-around choice if you want a well-equipped Pilot with strong owner satisfaction and a softer market price. If your priority is saving money, the 2021 is the better value play; if you want the newest design and are willing to pay more, the 2023 is the upgrade path to consider.
