Used 2022 Honda Ridgeline for Sale nearRaleigh, NC

How much does the 2022 Honda Ridgeline cost?

Prices have softened 7.95% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,057 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Honda Ridgeline a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Honda Ridgeline earns a 4.65/5 user rating and a 7.67/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, spacious interior, and useful features like the in-bed trunk and dual-function tailgate. They also highlight the smooth ride and solid value compared with other midsized trucks.

The trade-offs are the steep price and the touch screen responsiveness, and the truck’s everyday appeal is strongest if you want pickup utility without giving up a quiet, refined driving experience. That fits especially well if you value truck usefulness more than traditional body-on-frame toughness.

Good and great deals account for 33.9% of listings, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2022 Honda Ridgeline reliable?

Owners rate it 4.65/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a truck that feels dependable in daily use, with comfort and useful features that encourage long-term ownership. Reviewers also describe it as solid value, which usually matters when you plan to keep a vehicle for years.

The expert evaluation reinforces that impression by emphasizing its refined ride, quiet cabin, and practical design. Honda’s standard maintenance coverage also helps reduce early ownership friction.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about basic durability and more about living with its dated tech and transmission behavior over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Honda Ridgeline?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.

Start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident status and spot any title or repair issues. Then prioritize a close inspection of the cabin electronics, since owners mention touch screen responsiveness concerns. You should also check the truck’s overall condition carefully if you plan to use it like a traditional pickup, because its strengths are more about comfort and utility than hard-use capability.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Sport trim is the simplest version, while higher trims add more comfort and convenience equipment. The RTL-E and Black Edition bring more upscale features, and the Black Edition is the range-topper.
• Powertrain: You get a 3.5-liter V6 with a nine-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive. The engine makes 280 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, and the truck is tuned more for smooth everyday driving than maximum towing or off-road ability.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes automatic emergency braking, Road Departure Mitigation, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and adaptive cruise control. Blind spot monitoring is standard on all but the base Sport trim, and automatic high beams are standard on the RTL-E and Black Edition.
• Infotainment: The standard setup uses an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Bluetooth. SiriusXM is not on the base Sport trim, and navigation is reserved for the RTL-E and Black Edition.
• Fuel efficiency: All models are rated at 21 mpg combined, 18 mpg city, and 24 mpg highway.

Which 2022 Honda Ridgeline trim should I buy?

The 2022 Honda Ridgeline is offered in 4 trim levels: Sport, RTL, RTL-E, and Black Edition.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Ridgeline formula with standard all-wheel drive, the V6, and Honda Sensing. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the model, but you give up some convenience and luxury features.
• RTL: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds more comfort and convenience without jumping all the way to the top end. It also gains blind spot monitoring, which is a meaningful safety upgrade over the Sport.
• RTL-E: This trim is the better pick if you want more tech and convenience, including navigation and automatic high beams. It suits you if you want a more fully equipped Ridgeline without going all the way to the Black Edition.
• Black Edition: This is the most upscale version, with the richest feature set and the most distinctive appearance. It makes the most sense if you want the most premium Ridgeline experience and are willing to pay for it.

Blind spot monitoring is standard on all but the base Sport trim, and automatic high beams are standard on the RTL-E and Black Edition.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Honda Ridgeline?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so it pays to compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 33.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,057 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.95% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 86.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $29,522, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Honda Ridgeline's resale value?

The current average of $29,522 sits slightly below last year's $32,073.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more confidently now but may temper near-term resale upside. If you plan to sell later, the current softness means your best protection is buying well and keeping the truck in strong condition.

The Ridgeline’s broad appeal as a comfortable, practical pickup should help it stay relevant with shoppers who want utility without a rough ride. Strong owner satisfaction also supports demand when it’s time to resell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.65/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Honda Ridgeline safe?

The 2022 Honda Ridgeline earns Good IIHS crash-test results in most tests, but it received an Average score in the passenger-side small overlap frontal test and a Marginal headlight rating. It also earns five-star ratings in frontal and side crash tests and a four-star rating in rollover crash testing from NHTSA.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing comes standard and includes automatic emergency braking, Road Departure Mitigation, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and adaptive cruise control. Blind spot monitoring is standard on all but the base Sport trim, and automatic high beams are standard on the RTL-E and Black Edition.

The main caveat is the weaker IIHS headlight result, plus the lack of a 360-degree camera system, which would be helpful in a truck this size.

Should I buy a 2022 Honda Ridgeline or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 33.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.95% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.65/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It carries over essentially unchanged after the 2021 facelift, so you get a proven formula with refined ride quality and practical utility.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $27,576, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $29,522 average.
• It adds a more truck-like look while keeping the Ridgeline’s everyday usability.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $31,665, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $29,522 average.
• It emphasizes everyday practicality and strong safety ratings.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, comfort, and proven capability, the 2022 is the smart default. If you’re especially price-sensitive, the 2021 can save you money while keeping much of the same core appeal.
