About 2022 Lamborghini Huracan
The 2022 Lamborghini Huracan is the “entry-level” supercar from the famed Italian ultra-performance brand. Though some design cues appear to be inspired by a stealth fighter, the raucous sound and performance of the Huracan will never go under the radar. The Huracan was introduced in 2015 to replace the Gallardo, and Lamborghini has been constantly iterating. In 2021, the automaker introduced the STO, which continues to be its most extreme Huracan coming into the 2022 model year. STO stands for “Super Trofeo Omologato,” and the car is a track-ready beast. It is inspired by Lamborghini’s racing efforts and boasts a tall rear wing, unique aerodynamic body work, enhanced front trunk air inlets, and an intake above the engine bay for enhanced cooling. It also features a compartment in the frunk (front trunk) where track-day equipment can be stored. Inside, the STO features bucket seats with racing harnesses as well as unique drive modes, including those optimized for road driving, dry track action, and wet track action. The STO highlights a lineup that includes the Evo, Evo Spyder, Evo RWD (for rear-wheel drive), and Evo RWD Spyder. All are powered by a 5.2-liter V10 engine routed through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. In the Evo RWD and RWD Spyder, this engine makes 602 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque. In the all-wheel drive Evo variants (including the STO), it makes 640 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque. The Evo all-wheel drive (AWD) models also feature rear-wheel steering, and the AWD models (including STO) feature torque-vectoring that can distribute power between the left and the right wheels. No matter the variant, the Huracan returns fuel economy of 13 mpg city, 18 highway, and 15 combined. And as you might imagine, the Huracan requires premium fuel. The Huracan has a cockpit fit for a fighter jet, complete with mechanically inspired switchgear. The center console is capped off by an 8.4-inch touchscreen that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The compact, two-passenger cabin is batched in Alcantara and a material Lamborghini calls “Carbon Skin.” There are also countless elements of personalization to make the Lamborghini Huracan truly unique to your preferences.
