Used 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLB for SaleNationwide

How much does the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLB cost?

Prices have softened 11.00% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,145 listings available, which suggests you have a decent amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLB a good car?

Generally — the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLB earns a 4/5 user rating and a 7.33/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 10/10.

It fits your needs best if you want a compact luxury SUV that prioritizes utility, tight-space maneuverability, and available seating for up to seven people. The GLB’s boxy shape and practical packaging make it especially appealing if you value space efficiency over style-first design.

The market also shows 37.0% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLB reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The GLB’s practical layout and approachable pricing help it make a stronger case than many luxury-branded SUVs, especially if you want utility without moving into a much larger vehicle. The expert evaluation also points to a model that balances everyday usefulness with Mercedes-level tech and luxury touches.

The performance setup is tuned more for capability than simplicity, so long-term ownership can feel more demanding if you choose the sportier version and load it with options. For used buyers, the main risk is ending up with a configuration that brings more complexity and daily-driving compromise than you actually want.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLB?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper records review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on how the vehicle was maintained, how the electronics operate, and whether the cabin and drivetrain show signs of hard use. Pay close attention to option content, since some desirable safety and convenience features were not standard on every version.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The GLB250 is the more practical choice, while the AMG GLB35 adds a more aggressive look and performance-focused hardware. The base GLB250 can be had with front-wheel drive or 4Matic all-wheel drive, and the AMG version brings exclusive styling cues and a more performance-oriented setup.
• Powertrain: Both versions use a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, but the AMG GLB35 is tuned for 302 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. The AMG version also adds an AMG SpeedShift eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, AMG Performance variable 4Matic AWD, and an AMG Sport Exhaust system.
• Safety package: The Driver Assistance Package adds 12 driver-assistance and collision-avoidance technologies, including adaptive cruise control and lane-centering assistance. On the test vehicle, several features were missing without that package, including evasive steering assist, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, rear cross-traffic warning, and Active Emergency Stop Assist.
• Infotainment: The GLB uses Mercedes-Benz User Experience, and the AMG GLB35 includes a 10.25-inch digital gauge cluster and a 10.25-inch touchscreen. All GLB models have Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Mercedes Me connected services, while the Multimedia Package adds navigation with augmented reality.
• Fuel efficiency: The AMG GLB35 is rated at 22 mpg in combined driving, while the GLB 250 4Matic is rated at 25 mpg.

Which 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLB trim should I buy?

The 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLB is offered in 2 trim levels: GLB250 and AMG GLB35.

Here's the short version:

• GLB250: This is the trim most buyers should start with if you want the GLB’s space, practicality, and Mercedes tech without the AMG model’s firmer ride and higher running costs. It’s the better daily-driver choice and the best-value pick here.
• AMG GLB35: Choose this if you want the quicker, more aggressive version and care more about driving excitement than comfort. It adds the performance hardware and sharper character, but it also brings more compromise in everyday use.

The safety package is worth adding if you want the GLB’s most useful driver-assistance features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLB?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,145 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.00% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 88.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $26,429, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLB's resale value?

The current average of $26,429 sits slightly below last year's $29,694.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle. If you plan to sell later, the current pricing trend means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLB safe?

The 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLB earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

The test vehicle included Active Brake Assist, blind-spot monitoring, Mercedes-Benz emergency call service, rain-sensing wipers, Attention Assist, and Exit Warning Assist. The optional Driver Assistance Package adds 12 more driver-assistance and collision-avoidance technologies, including adaptive cruise control and lane-centering assistance.

A key caveat is that the test vehicle did not have several important safety features, including evasive steering assist, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, rear cross-traffic warning, and Active Emergency Stop Assist. That makes the available safety package especially important if you want the most complete protection and convenience setup.

Should I buy a 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLB or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.00% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It combines compact packaging, seven-passenger seating, and standout technology in a relatively accessible luxury SUV.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $22,951, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $26,429 average.
• It offers flexible interior space and an optional third row.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger overall shopping position, the 2022 is the better target because pricing has eased and inventory is healthy. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2021 is the better value path, especially if you want GLB versatility at a lower entry price.
