How much does the 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 1,974 listings available, which suggests you have a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E earns a 5/5 user rating and an 8.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its impressive performance, stylish design, and advanced technology. The overview also frames it as a stylish electric crossover that blends performance, technology, and everyday utility, which fits the way it is used as both a commuter and a more engaging EV.

The trade-offs are clear: the electric range is described as unimpressive, the ride quality can be choppy, and it still needs a head-up display. Even so, the market shows 38.0% good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The owner summary also points to a vehicle that feels dependable in daily use, with praise for its quiet, smooth ride and the kind of performance and technology owners can count on.

Ford’s BlueCruise system and the broader driver-assist setup are presented as mature, confidence-building features, and the car’s overall ownership experience is framed as strong enough to keep buyers happy over time. Ford also notes that the 2023 model remains eligible for a federal income tax credit of up to $7,500, which can help offset ownership costs if you qualify.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about basic dependability and more about making sure the specific car you choose has been cared for properly and still has healthy battery performance.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and inspect the car carefully, even when the market looks clean. Focus on battery condition, charging behavior, software features, and whether the car’s equipment matches the trim you expect. If you plan to rely on hands-free driving, make sure the driver-assistance hardware and subscription status are clear before you buy.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup includes Select, Premium, California Route 1, and GT. The base setup is lighter on luxury and performance features than the higher trims, while the GT adds a more distinctive look and a more upscale cabin feel.
• Powertrain: You can find single-motor rear-wheel drive and dual-motor all-wheel drive setups, with output ranging from 266 to 480 horsepower. Efficiency and range vary by configuration, so match the drivetrain to how you actually drive.
• Safety package: Co-Pilot360 Assist 2.0 is standard, and BlueCruise 1.2 is part of the safety story. Availability of the surround-view camera and BlueCruise can vary by trim, so verify the exact equipment on the car you’re considering.
• Infotainment: The Mach-E uses a 15.5-inch portrait touchscreen with Sync 4A, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, over-the-air updates, and wireless smartphone charging.
• Range & charging: Range varies by version, with figures up to 312 miles in the lineup. The Premium trim offers up to 290 miles of range, and the California Route 1 reaches 312 miles. The usable battery capacity and DC fast-charge time are not specified here.
• Battery health: For a used EV, check battery state-of-health, confirm how the car has typically been charged, and review the remaining battery warranty coverage. A car that has mostly seen home charging and sensible use is usually the safer bet than one with heavy DC fast-charging history.

Which 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E trim should I buy?

The 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E is offered in 4 trim levels: Select, Premium, California Route 1, and GT.

Here's the short version:

• Select: This is the entry point, so it makes the most sense if you want the Mach-E experience at the lowest starting cost and are comfortable giving up some of the richer equipment found higher up the range.
• Premium: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds more range and a more complete everyday experience without jumping all the way to the performance-focused GT.
• California Route 1: Choose this if range matters most, since the overview highlights 312 miles of range and all-wheel drive for this version.
• GT: Pick this if you want the most performance and the most distinctive appearance, along with the more upscale cabin treatment and standard panoramic glass roof.

BlueCruise and the surround-view camera may vary by trim, so confirm the exact safety and driver-assistance equipment before you buy.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E?

This is a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without expecting a deep buyer’s market.

• Deal availability: 38.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,974 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 90.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $29,016, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E's resale value?

The current average of $29,845 sits slightly below last year's $29,883.

That small decline suggests the market has been stable rather than volatile, which is usually a good sign if you plan to sell later. It means buyers are still willing to pay near current levels for a well-kept example, especially when the car has the right equipment and a clean history.

Because the year’s pricing has held steady, you are less likely to see dramatic depreciation swings in the near term. Strong condition, desirable trim content, and a clean accident history should matter more than trying to time the market.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E safe?

The 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E earns top marks in most assessments from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, and it was a Top Safety Pick for the 2022 calendar year.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist 2.0 is standard across the lineup, and BlueCruise 1.2 adds lane changes, predictive speed assist, and lane repositioning to help with hands-free highway driving. The system is impressive, but the review also notes that the Mach-E needs a head-up display because key status information lives in the digital gauge cluster.

One caveat is that BlueCruise availability and the surround-view camera can vary by trim, so you should verify the exact safety equipment on the specific car you’re considering.

Should I buy a 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 38.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Expert or safety highlight specific to this year from the review team: Ford added an enhanced version of BlueCruise hands-free highway driving technology.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $32,221, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $29,845 average.
• It adds a new Rally trim and broader updates across the lineup.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2023 is the smarter starting point because pricing is stable and inventory is healthy. If you want the newer model-year updates and are willing to pay more, the 2024 is the better path.
