How much does the 2023 Jeep Cherokee cost?

Is the 2023 Jeep Cherokee a good car?

Yes — the 4.5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction for this model year. The 2023 Jeep Cherokee stands out as a crossover-shaped Jeep that still tries to preserve some of the brand’s off-road identity, while also offering everyday usability and available capability. It appeals to you if you want Jeep styling, all-weather traction, and a sense of adventure without the bulk of a larger SUV. 37.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Jeep Cherokee reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2023 Jeep Cherokee’s appeal is tied to its mix of everyday usability and available capability, but the model line also carries a history of transmission issues in earlier years and some poor efficiency concerns. That means you should think carefully about maintenance history and overall condition when shopping used.

For long-term ownership, your biggest risk is buying a neglected example, so prioritize well-documented service records and a thorough pre-purchase inspection.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Jeep Cherokee?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with a history report to confirm accident status, title status, and service records. Then put inspection priority on the transmission, drivetrain behavior, and any signs of uneven wear or deferred maintenance. Focus on overall condition and how the vehicle drives, especially if you plan to keep it for the long haul.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Jeep Cherokee?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 37.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,073 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 85.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $22,026, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Jeep Cherokee's resale value?

The current average of $23,490 sits slightly above last year's $23,421.

That small increase suggests the Cherokee has held its value fairly well in the near term, which is a positive sign if you plan to sell later. Stable pricing also helps you gauge the market more confidently, since you are less likely to face a sharp drop in value right after purchase. For a future seller, that kind of consistency can make it easier to price the vehicle competitively without having to discount heavily.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Jeep Cherokee or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 37.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the newest version of this Cherokee generation with stable pricing and a healthy pool of listings, the 2023 is the primary year to target. If you are more price-sensitive, a nearby older year may be worth considering, especially if you can find a cleaner example with strong service history and a lower asking price.
