About 2023 Kia EV6
The 2023 Kia EV6 is a dynamic and versatile hatchback electric vehicle (EV). With an all-electric powertrain and athletic handling, the EV6 proves that an electric car does not have to cost six figures to be a spirited performance machine. The EV6 is technically a crossover, but in reality, it’s a broad hatchback that provides up to 50.2 cubic feet of cargo space. With the rear seats in use, the EV6 provides 24.4 cubic feet of cargo space. For 2023, a performance-oriented GT trim joins the EV6 lineup, boasting additional power at the cost of range. Trims for the EV6 are Wind, GT-Line, and the new range-topping GT. Standard features on the EV6 Wind include 19-inch alloy wheels, a smart power liftgate, LED headlights, a fully digital instrument panel, dual-zone climate control, remote start, push-button start, a Wi-Fi hotspot, vegan leather upholstery, and wireless device charging. It also comes standard with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and navigation. The GT-Line is a sportier take on the EV6 and adds a power sunroof, power-retractable door handles, a head-up display, a sport steering wheel, and navigation-based cruise control. The new range-topping GT trim added an electronically controlled suspension, 21-inch alloy wheels, and unique sporty design elements. The EV6 comes equipped with a 77.4-kWh battery pack. It routes power either to a single motor at the rear wheels, or to a dual-motor all-wheel drive (AWD) setup. In the Wind and GT-Line, the rear-wheel-drive (RWD) platform makes 225 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, while the AWD version makes a combined 320 horsepower and 446 pound-feet of torque. The new EV6 GT comes standard with a more potent AWD setup, putting out 576 horsepower and 545 pound-feet of torque. The EV6 GT can sprint from zero to 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds and can hit a top speed of 131 mph. The EV6 GT also features a “Drift Mode” that puts emphasis on the rear motor for a more enthusiast-oriented driving experience. The base RWD version of the EV6 provides the most range, delivering up to 310 miles. The all-wheel-drive version brings the range down to 282 miles. The GT-Line AWD provides 252 miles, and the GT trim provides 206 miles. Using a Level 2 charger, the EV6 can be fully charged in about seven hours. The EV6 also has DC fast charging that can charge the battery up from 10 percent to 80 percent in a mere 18 minutes. Standard driver-assistance features for the 2023 Kia EV6 include automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic high beams, driver attention alert, lane-departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, and rear parking sensors. Available driver-assistance features include a 360-degree parking camera, front parking sensors, a blind-spot camera system, and even remote parking assist, which allows you to back up the car while standing outside it, using the key fob. The battery is backed by a 10-year/100,000-mile warranty.
