How much does the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLS cost?

Is the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLS a good car?

The 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLS stands out as the roomiest vehicle in the Mercedes-Benz lineup, with three rows of seating for six or seven people and up to 94 cubic feet of cargo space. It is aimed at families that want the comfort and space of a luxury sedan with some off-road capability, and it does that while still feeling distinctly upscale.

Premium interior materials and easy-to-use technology are among its strengths, and the GLS also brings a broad mix of comfort, space, and convenience features. For you, that makes it a strong fit if you want a large luxury SUV that prioritizes passenger room and everyday usability.

34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLS reliable?

The 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLS has a reputation for being comfortable, with premium interior materials and easy-to-use technology among its strengths. It also benefits from a second-generation design that brought more standard safety and convenience features.

For long-term ownership, you should still expect the usual used-luxury-SUV risk profile, so condition and maintenance history matter a lot.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLS?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on a three-row luxury SUV with complex equipment. Focus on the condition of the interior technology, seating mechanisms, and any signs of heavy family use or neglected maintenance.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLS?

• Inventory: There are 1,228 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.15% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 91.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $65,144, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLS's resale value?

The current average of $65,308 sits slightly below last year's $71,889.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy more confidently today. If you plan to sell later, the GLS still has appeal as a roomy, upscale three-row SUV, but your resale outcome will depend heavily on mileage, condition, and how well the vehicle has been maintained. A clean history and strong equipment can help protect value when it is time to trade or sell.

Should I buy a 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLS or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 34.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.8% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.15% compared with last year.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $46,871, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $65,308 average.
• It offers flagship-size luxury with a strong presence.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $72,473, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $65,308 average.
• It adds refreshed styling and updated tech.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the best all-around choice if you want a roomy, upscale GLS with a softer market price and plenty of listings to compare. If your priority is saving money, the 2022 is the better value path; if you want the newest updates and can stretch your budget, the 2024 is the upgrade to consider.
