This is a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 27.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 317 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.54% compared with last year.

That price movement suggests the market has eased, which can help you buy more confidently now. If you keep the vehicle clean and well documented, you will be in a stronger position when it is time to sell.

Should I buy a 2023 RAM 3500 Chassis or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 27.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.54% compared with last year.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest balance of current pricing and available inventory, the 2023 is a sensible place to start. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby years to see whether a lower entry price outweighs the benefits of shopping this model year.
