You should still run a history report and verify that the car’s service record matches its performance use. Focus on overall condition, tire wear, brake wear, and signs that the car has been used as intended rather than babied.

Should I buy a 2024 BMW M3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $82,290, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $89,311 average.
• It blends performance, luxury, and everyday usefulness.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $90,065, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $89,311 average.
• It adds mid-cycle updates while keeping the core formula fresh.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of current-market stability, strong inventory quality, and broad appeal, the 2024 is the primary path to consider. If your priority is saving money, the 2023 is the better secondary path, especially if you find one in strong condition and with a clean history.
