CarGurus Analysis: 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV
overall

Summary
With 1,382 currently listed for sale and an average price of $27,383, 39.6% of 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EVs for sale on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV 4.75 / 5 stars and CarGurus experts gave it a 6.33 / 10.
95.4% of 2024 Blazer EV models on CarGurus are accident free.
Why it stands out
The 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV is Chevrolet’s long-awaited entry into the electric SUV field. Although it shares a name with the gasoline-powered Blazer crossover SUV, it is a new vehicle built on General Motors’ Ultium EV component set. That gives it a distinct identity as Chevy’s answer to the growing electric SUV segment, and its appeal starts with unique style and impressive technology.
What stands out most about the 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV is the way it blends sharp handling with available Super Cruise, which adds to its high-tech feel. At the same time, it is not without drawbacks: the design may be polarizing, it does not offer Apple CarPlay, and its ride quality is poor. The overall package is distinctive, but buyers should also note that it does not really move the needle on range, fast charging, or interior packaging, and it sits at the higher end of the segment in its launch form.

What’s not to love about this vehicle ? I charge for free at work which is a huge plus. It’s fun to drive because it’s quick for a big SUV and love the heads up display and digital rear view mirror. Big enough for my family and still looks sporty.

Literally the only downside for me is that they do not support Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. I would compare it to the likes of the Chevy Equinox, Tesla Y, and VW ID 4.

Model: 2024 1RS AWD Pros: 1.) Looks great and the ride is comfortable, quiet. 2.) Has adjustable regen braking - have mine on high does a nice job stopping quickly. 3.) My Chevrolet Application isn't too bad - like the ability to remote start and cool it off. 4.) Love the handles that present themselves. 5.) Love the no push button start - or off. Just get in/out with your key. 6.) Built in wi-fi and OnStar is good for piece of mind, safety and even issues with the vehicle. 7.) Google maps works pretty well - some delayed responses - would prefer using my iPhone through Apple - or at least having the option. 8.) Outside of the dimming - the screens look very nice and give very good quick set options for display. MEH: 1.) Ambient lighting looks great around the front vent...but the dash light just kind of looks cheap. Not as nice as the ambient trim lighting on here end models. 2.) Getting setup to charge to 80% (instead of 100% each time) was a little clunky. 3.) Getting through some of the menus - or available options seems a little clunky. 4.) Should be a way to control the volume of the mapping voice. I don't want to hear google screaming over the top of my music every 15 to 30 seconds. Would like to be able to turn her voice volume down. Cons: 1.) Parking sensors are TOO sensitive. My garage isn't huge, but the vehicle will ABSOLUTELY slam on the brakes when you still have a foot or so between objects - so I have to turn it off when backing in my garage. 2.) Doesn't have a charging pad for your phone - despite an RS package. Come on. Yes, I can plug a cable into some of the USB ports (there are plenty of those - but dude it's a 2024. 3.) Dimming interior screen doesn't truly darken the blacks on the screens - it sort of keeps the monitor running on bright and dims the characters on the screen. 4.) Seemingly no built in programable garage door openers (RS package) - so I have to carry a clunky garage door opener on my visor or use the application on my phone - that they make me plug in. 5.) No apple car play.

Great value for the lease on this vehicle. Insane leg room and truck space for an EV. The ride is quiet and smooth. The range is better than anticipated. The features are abundant and intuitive.

How much does the 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $27,251 |
| Year-Round Low | $26,758 |
| Year-Round High | $31,430 |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $31,420 |
| Change vs. Last Year | −13.27% |
Prices have softened 13.27% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.
There are 1,418 listings available, which suggests you have a solid amount of inventory to compare.
Is the 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV a good car?
Yes — the 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV earns a 4.75/5 user rating and a 6.33/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Performance and Technology.
It stands out as Chevrolet’s electric SUV entry with distinctive styling and a high-tech feel, and it’s built on GM’s Ultium EV platform rather than the gasoline Blazer’s architecture. In practice, that means you’re looking at a vehicle aimed at shoppers who want sharp handling, available Super Cruise, and a more modern EV experience.
The trade-offs are clear: the ride quality is poor, the design may be polarizing, and it does not offer Apple CarPlay. It also doesn’t really move the needle on range, fast charging, or interior packaging.
The market still shows 37.7% of listings as good or great deals, so there’s room to shop carefully.
Is the 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV reliable?
Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The Blazer EV is presented as a new EV built on GM’s Ultium component set, which gives it a modern foundation rather than a carryover setup. Its performance notes point to strong acceleration, and the available regenerative-braking paddle adds useful control in everyday driving.
Chevy also includes an eight-year/100,000-mile battery warranty, which helps reduce some of the long-term ownership risk that comes with buying a used EV. Even so, you should still pay close attention to battery condition, charging behavior, and service history before you buy.
What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV?
Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
You should still run a vehicle history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on an EV where battery condition and charging performance matter. Focus on how the vehicle has been used, whether it has any signs of bodywork or electrical issues, and whether the charging system behaves normally.
Key things to evaluate:
- Trim level: The LT and RS trims differ in styling, with the LT getting a color-coordinated front fascia and 19-inch wheels, while the RS adds blacked-out exterior accents and 21-inch wheels. The RS also brings a more distinctive interior with large round air vents and a flat-bottom steering wheel, and red leather upholstery is optional.
- Powertrain: You’ll find single-motor rear-wheel drive and dual-motor all-wheel drive setups, with the RWD version making 340 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque and the AWD version making 288 hp and 333 lb-ft of torque. The AWD setup is the less-expensive option on the RS, while the RWD model was described as a bit traction-limited.
- Safety package: Standard equipment includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, forward-collision warning, a following-distance indicator, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, and automatic high beams. Super Cruise is available, along with reverse automatic braking and park assist.
- Infotainment: You get a 17.7-inch touchscreen, an 11-inch digital instrument cluster, built-in Google apps, and over-the-air software updates. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are not offered.
- Range & charging: The smaller 85-kWh battery pack is rated at 279 miles of range and can DC fast charge at up to 150 kilowatts, while the larger 102-kWh pack is estimated at up to 324 miles and can charge at up to 190 kW.
- Battery health: Ask for battery state-of-health information, review how often the vehicle has been DC fast charged versus charged at home, and confirm how much of the battery warranty remains. A used EV is best when the battery has been treated consistently and shows normal charging behavior.
Which 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV trim should I buy?
The 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV is offered in 2 trim levels: LT, RS.
Here's the short version:
- LT: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Blazer EV experience with the standard 19-inch wheels and the cleaner, color-coordinated front fascia. It’s the trim to consider if you want the least expensive path into the model and can live without the RS’s more aggressive styling.
- RS: This is the better-value choice if you want the more distinctive look and the more upscale-feeling cabin details, including the blacked-out exterior treatment, 21-inch wheels, and the interior with round vents and a flat-bottom steering wheel. It suits you best if style and presentation matter as much as the EV hardware.
Super Cruise is available, and that’s the safety/driver-assistance feature to prioritize if you want the most advanced tech.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.
- Deal availability: 37.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 1,418 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 13.27% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 94.9% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $26,758, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV's resale value?
The current average of $27,251 sits slightly below last year's $31,420.
That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may temper future resale gains if prices keep easing. For a seller, the current trend means you should expect more price sensitivity from shoppers than you would have seen a year ago.
The good news is that the model’s distinctive styling, available Super Cruise, and strong tech story can still support demand. If you keep the vehicle in clean condition and maintain the battery well, you’ll be in a better position when it’s time to sell.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Is the 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV safe?
The Blazer EV gets standard automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, forward-collision warning, a following-distance indicator, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, and automatic high beams.
It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.
Super Cruise is available, and it adds hands-free lane-centering and speed control with driver monitoring and detailed mapping. You should also note that crash-test ratings were not available at the time of publication, so you’ll want to keep an eye on later test results if safety ratings are a major part of your decision.
Should I buy a 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2024 if:
- 37.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Accident-free inventory is excellent at 94.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 13.27% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
- It introduces Chevy’s Ultium-based EV platform with available Super Cruise and a distinctive, high-tech design.
Consider the 2025 if:
- At $32,672, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $27,251 average.
- It adds a sportier look and more flexible configuration choices.
The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2024 is the stronger buy because prices are lower and inventory is healthy. If you care more about the newer model-year presentation and are willing to pay more, the 2025 is the alternative to consider.
