Used 2024 Mazda MAZDA3 for Sale nearPhoenix, AZ

How much does the 2024 Mazda MAZDA3 cost?

Prices have softened 11.93% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,811 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of cars to compare.

Is the 2024 Mazda MAZDA3 a good car?

Yes — the 2024 Mazda MAZDA3 earns a 4.67/5 user rating and a 7.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Safety.

It stands out as a compact car that feels more upscale than its price class might suggest, with styling and driving dynamics that give it a premium character. The expert assessment also highlights excellent driving dynamics and luxurious levels of styling and performance, which helps explain why it feels more like a near-luxury alternative than a typical mass-market compact.

The main trade-offs are a confusing trim structure, limited cargo space, and a cramped rear seat. If you want a stylish daily driver that prioritizes driving enjoyment and a more premium feel, those compromises may be easy to live with.

Good and great deals account for 37.2% of listings, so you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 Mazda MAZDA3 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.67/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 Mazda MAZDA3 is presented as a refined, well-built compact car with a premium feel, and the expert assessment emphasizes its strong driving dynamics and upscale execution. Its performance notes also point to a chassis that handles corners incredibly well and steering that is tight and precise, which supports the impression of a car engineered with care.

The ownership picture is helped by the fact that the car is described as aging gracefully rather than feeling outdated in a way that undermines confidence. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about mechanical character and more about choosing the right configuration and condition, since the trim structure can be confusing and some versions are more expensive to buy and maintain than others.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Mazda MAZDA3?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are considering a higher-trim or turbocharged car. Focus on overall condition, interior wear, and whether the car’s equipment matches the trim level you think you are buying.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup spans sedan and hatchback body styles, and the hatchback is called out as the better-looking choice with more usable storage space. The S Premium hatchback is singled out for better appointments without requiring the turbo engine upgrade, while the Turbo Premium Plus adds the most upscale feel and extra traffic-assist capability.
• Powertrain: You get a naturally aspirated 2.5-liter four-cylinder on the S trims and a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder on the Carbon Turbo and Turbo Premium Plus. Front-wheel drive is standard on lower trims, while all-wheel drive comes on the Carbon Edition, Carbon Turbo, and Turbo Premium Plus; fuel economy varies by body style and drivetrain.
• Safety package: Automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and Adaptive Cruise Control with stop-and-go are standard. Turbo Premium Plus adds Cruising and Traffic Support, Mazda’s traffic-jam-oriented steering assist feature.
• Infotainment: Most trims use an 8.8-inch infotainment display, while the top two trims get a 10.25-inch screen. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, wireless on the Carbon Edition, Carbon Turbo, and Turbo Premium Plus, and the larger screen adds touchscreen functionality only when running those phone interfaces.
• Fuel efficiency: The non-turbo FWD sedan is rated at 27 mpg city, 37 highway, and 31 combined, while the non-turbo FWD hatchback is rated at 27/35/30. AWD and turbo versions return lower figures, so it is worth comparing your preferred body style and drivetrain carefully.

Which 2024 Mazda MAZDA3 trim should I buy?

The 2024 Mazda MAZDA3 is offered in 6 trim levels: S, S Select Sport, S Preferred, S Carbon Edition, Carbon Turbo, and Turbo Premium Plus.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point if you want the lowest-cost way into the Mazda3 lineup, but it is also the most basic expression of the car’s upscale mission.
• S Select Sport: This is the best-value starting point for many shoppers because it keeps the Mazda3’s core style and driving character while staying below the more expensive trims.
• S Preferred: Choose this if you want a more polished daily driver and are willing to pay for a nicer-feeling cabin and broader equipment.
• S Carbon Edition: This is the step to take if you want all-wheel drive and a more upscale feel without jumping all the way to the turbo models.
• Carbon Turbo: This is the right pick if you want the stronger turbocharged engine and all-wheel drive, along with a more premium overall setup.
• Turbo Premium Plus: This is the top choice if you want the most complete Mazda3 experience, including the strongest performance and the extra traffic-support feature.

The safety package is broad across the lineup, but Turbo Premium Plus adds Cruising and Traffic Support.

• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.93% compared with last year.

What is the 2024 Mazda MAZDA3's resale value?

The current average of $21,438 sits slightly below last year's $24,343.

That decline suggests the market has become more favorable for buyers, but it also means a future seller may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy well now, you reduce the risk of overpaying into a softer market. The Mazda3’s premium feel and strong driving reputation should help it remain appealing to used shoppers, especially if you keep mileage and condition in check.

Should I buy a 2024 Mazda MAZDA3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 37.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.93% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It blends upscale styling with excellent driving dynamics and a premium-feeling cabin.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $22,451, the 2023 costs more than the current year's $21,438 average.
• It emphasizes luxury-level comfort and refined performance in a practical compact package.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $22,801, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $21,438 average.
• It adds a new base version and more tech features, including Alexa and cloud navigation on higher trims.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of price, styling, and driving enjoyment, the 2024 is the strongest starting point. If you are shopping strictly on value, the 2024’s softer pricing makes it the primary year to target, while the 2025 is worth considering only if its added tech matters more to you than the lower current average price.
