How much does the 2025 Subaru Crosstrek cost?

Prices have softened 4.74% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 6,434 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing prices and trims.

Is the 2025 Subaru Crosstrek a good car?

The 2025 Subaru Crosstrek stands out because it keeps the formula that made the model successful: a simple subcompact crossover layout built around a four-cylinder boxer engine, a continuously variable automatic transmission, and Subaru’s Symmetrical all-wheel drive system. It is also described as a practical daily driver with generous ground clearance, protective bodywork, and pedestal-style roof rails, which gives it a rugged look and useful everyday versatility.

Its appeal is strongest for you if you want a small crossover that is capable in bad weather, easy to live with, and not overly complicated. The tradeoff is that the base engine is described as underpowered, and the CVT can bring noise and droning. Even so, the 2025 Subaru Crosstrek remains distinctive for blending everyday practicality, standard AWD, and a more adventurous personality than many small crossovers can offer. 34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Is the 2025 Subaru Crosstrek reliable?

The 2025 Subaru Crosstrek stands out because it keeps the model’s straightforward, practical formula while adding a broader equipment list and modern convenience features. It is described as a simple daily driver with standard all-wheel drive, generous ground clearance, and a rugged, utility-first character.

That combination points to a vehicle that should be easy for you to understand and live with, especially if you value simplicity over complexity. For long-term ownership, the main risk is that a used example with hard use or deferred maintenance may be more costly to sort out than a cleaner, better-kept one.

What should I look for when buying a used 2025 Subaru Crosstrek?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and confirm the listing’s accident and title history before you commit. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection if the Crosstrek has higher mileage, visible wear, or signs of heavy use, and pay close attention to the condition of the drivetrain, tires, brakes, and interior controls.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2025 Subaru Crosstrek?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 6,434 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.74% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 92.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $28,854, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2025 Subaru Crosstrek's resale value?

The current average of $28,899 sits slightly below last year's $30,337.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled enough to give you more negotiating room today than a year ago. If you buy at the right price and keep the vehicle in clean condition, you should be in a better position to limit depreciation pressure later. For a future seller, the current trend is a reminder that well-priced, well-kept examples are likely to stand out more than average ones.

Should I buy a 2025 Subaru Crosstrek or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.74% compared with last year.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $26,304, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $28,899 average.
• It adds a Wilderness trim for extra off-road capability.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2025 if you want the newer model-year pricing context, strong clean-inventory availability, and a straightforward Crosstrek with modernized equipment. If your priority is saving money, the 2024 is the better secondary path because it undercuts the current year’s average and still delivers the Crosstrek’s core appeal.
