Horrible experience with this dealership! After purchasing the vehicle they inspected it and there ended up being a bunch of issues that took a week for them to get fixed. The vehicle was never even looked at by the service department before they put it on the lot and sold it. These issues should have been found before they ever put a vehicle on the lot and sale it to somebody. Horrible experience with lack of empathy from anybody at the dealership. They also advised for the trouble they would fill the vehicle up before delivering it. I would think more would have been done over all the trouble but when the vehicle arrived it had less than a 4th a tank of gas! Beware before buying a vehicle from this company! Would never buy from here again and will make sure to let others know as well.
I was approved at this dealership after Carguru said I
was approved for a certain vehicle. I had a phone
appointment scheduled..made sure I was off from
work in time for this said phone call and they never
called. They texted about a cosigner the next day
and once I replied with that information, we were
ghosted again. I guess when the salesman realized
he wasn't getting a fat commission, he wasn't
bothered to even respond. I THEN responded to an
email they sent with these above complaints..and
NADA.

I worked for a Chevy dealership for over 10 years and am happy with my purchase but slightly disappointed with what was delivered. I was told it needed nothing. 1 tire failed inspection due to being worn to the ware bars. Air filter was very dirty and air box was filled with debris. Truck interior was “dusty” and needed a vacuum and cleaning. Over all happy with it but wonder if a mechanic even looked at this truck before delivering it. Didn’t expect to have to buy two tires and an air filter 3 days after delivery.

Everyone I spoke to throughout the entire process was AMAZING! I first spoke with Brittany to get my preliminary questions answered. I then requested videos since I was not local and Justin was on it immediately. He sent me videos to answer all of my questions and requests. He put my mind at ease about making such a huge purchase without being on site. Next was Greg in finance, he explained everything thoroughlyand we were through the buying process quickly. The whole team made this my best car buying experience.

Now these guys and a few ladies who tried to get this deal done. Are simply the best of the best. Im proud to leave this review.
Dealer responded quickly. I called and asked some questions about the jeep, sounded like what I was looking for so the next morning I drove 6hrs to the dealership. When I arrived the first thing I noticed was the tires needed replacing which was one of my questions I asked the day before and I was assured they were great ! Next I checked the oil, it was as black and in need of changing they assured me it had just came out of service the day before it was marked as changed although it was obviously not ! I ended up working a deal drove the jeep home. Checked over “service they performed “ found the air filter was completely clogged oil needed changed (which I had already found ). So obviously their “service” department did not touch the jeep. BEWARE IF UOU BUY FROM THEM !
The dealer said the vehicle was in great shape and I am 1200 miles away !! Well , I received the
vehicle and I 'm finding lots of things that were overlooked or not mentioned . In my opinion they
are misrepresenting on CarGurus . Both front wheels have Broken and missing lug nuts !!!!
Interior trim is spotty and pieces are missing . I thought they were supposed to inspect and
CORRECT these issues before sale . This is like buying from a private seller . ( Maybe that would
have been better )
Deserves 0 stars, calls me and immediately asks me for my social security number. Immediately asks me to put a deposit down without giving me any information about the car. I showed interest in the car for a few days even let them know. Then the manager tells me there is a rip in the seat so I won't put a deposit down until it was fixed. He texted me and said it would take a week. About a day later I get an email saying they sold the car. I am not sure why they try to sell this way but good for them. Small reward for stupid selling tactics. By far the biggest clowns I have come across in awhile. There will be a separate place in hell for people like this. Disgusting dealership with no moral compass, patience, accountability or customer care. For all dealerships... your behavior will be paid for one way or another, trust Jesus. I am sick of this behavior out of dealers and tactics that ruin my thoughts about them. Yall need to grow up and just sell a car like normal!

Told me they had this truck listed for $30,950 but would never give me an estimate on my truck. Also informed me that the truck was in the shop getting a new transmission. 4 days later they messaged me and said the truck was ready and I said I never got an estimate on my truck. They undervalued my trade in and raised the price of the vehicle from $30,950 to $42,000. I will never do Shady business with someone like this

Bate and switch, they never had this truck but they just wanted me to come in so they could show me something else that I didn’t want and was more expensive. Will never do business with a dealer this dishonest to start with so you know they will try and rip you off for every penny they can

Communication was lacking as multiple parties on their team contacted me at once and the one I requested info from somehow expected the other one to handle it. Either the sales staff can handle or they can't. Two parties don't need to approach the same lead. I've got the letters and numbers and years by my name, if you want me to help fix your system, you need to pay me, otherwise, just figure it out. When a customer drives from a home 200 miles away to see a specific vehicle with cash in hand, perhaps you should find time to show it to them, or stop advertising.
Vehicle was not available, being serviced on visit after initial inquiries. Was not available for sight or drive.

Made two appointments - they rescheduled the first one because of lot damage to the car and it was being repaired - called to confirm my second appointment which they remade for four days later - told me the car sold on the day of my original appointment. Glad I called it's an hour drive
Trying to make a deal with them now. Car is being inspected by our mechanic tomorrow.
So far, so good. I am purchasing while I'm still overseas and that complicates the deal.
Only bad thing is they don't want to follow the price listed when I first contacted them. The price advertised
included delivery to Douglas, AL in the price. Now, they want to use that price as the fixed price and add $800
for delivery.
We are still negotiating though.
UPDATE: We completed our purchase from Smart Chevrolet and worked with Brienna and Trey. While they did not stand by their advertised offer that included delivery,
we were still able to work out a deal where we arranged for inspection, delivery and we take care of all the licensing and state taxes in the destination state.
Car purchasing on the internet is not perfect. But, in general it was doable and we reached a win-win deal.
First, I am an out of state buyer. Talked to Liz on the day before I even decided if this is the car I wanted. Liz spent almost an hr telling me about the vehicle as well as the process that it’d take to complete the purchase. She was very kind and professional and understood my fears and did her best to calm them, which she did. Told her I’d need to talk to my wife prior to making our decision. Again, Liz understood and gave me a chance to do exactly that. The next day, we decided to make the purchase and called the dealership and they held the vehicle for me; as I was flying from MN to NC. Upon my arrival to NC, Liz picked me up from the airport. and brought the car with her, this was so special to me. Drove me to the dealership and we completed the purchase process. Everyone at the dealership was very helpful, kind and understanding. Liz, Mike and Anna made an otherwise complicated process very easy. My experience with the dealership was great. I’d buy from them again.

Was not a good experience.
Asked them to explain to me why their truck was the one to buy.
Instead of actually trying to make a sale they fired back with stupid comments.
I guess the art of being a salesman is lost in this group!
As a result , they lost a sale. Ironically they did me a favor because a nicer truck became available closer to home and they won my business!

I went to look at a 2001 Excursion XLT 4WD with 192k miles. KBB listed the truck in great
condition lower than their asking price of $8999. The truck had holes in the roof, holes in the
tailgate, and was missing the third row seat. The salesperson, Jeremy, advised the engine was
replaced 54k miles ago and that I should be looking at the value of an Excursion with 54k
miles. No Jeremy, that is not how this works. I offered $6k cash and he decided to go behind
my back and start talking to my wife about the truck. Since this interaction, only a week ago, I
have found a better 2000 Excursion with lower mileage, limited trim, 4WD, V10, no holes in it,
third row seat not missing, no rust coming through the paint, and no dents for less money. I
wish I would have read the reviews first, the smartest thing about Smart Chevrolet is their
ironic name. Stay far away.
This was a horrible experience. 1st we drive over an hour to see the vehicle for them to tell us "It was here a few minutes ago, let me see where it went. Oh, sorry we took it to auction." Then the vehicle stays on the web page and I am contacted by someone else who says "it is available " Then someone else who says " It is available if you will pay full list price TODAY" (Keep in mind this was in the middle of a snow storm). And lastly to be told Sorey we did send that to auction. They obviously don't have thier stuff together and didnt even offer a sincere apology, only what else can we sell you? Will never go there again.

Great very helpful
Untrustworthy!! I contacted this dealer about an advertised car and scheduled a test drive with one specific used car. After driving 30 miles to see it, I was told
it was no longer at this dealership(been gone for a while apparently) and they tried to sell me a completely different car. The same vehicle is STILL advertised
as a car they offer for sale. Bait and switch, Caveat Emptor!

Chad and Austin made for an enjoyable and painless experience trading my 2008 Corvette for a (new to me!) 2016 model. Its worth the drive to go see these
guys. They gave me way more for my trade than my local Chevy dealership.

After exchanging emails, I asked two follow up questions on 2 occasions and to-date I have not received a response.
They didnât seem that interested in selling me the Suburban. Even
though the Suburban has only 60k miles it is very rough. Rust has
started in the right quart panel, a skin over the dash to cover a
crashed dash and was missing one third roe seat. Plastic cracked in
back, the rims are pitted and thereâs rust underneath
I contacted the dealer about a 2009 Chev Suburban with about 60,000 miles and a low price. With the vehicle being that old and with that few miles I wanted to see what the inside looked like. There was only 2 pictures on the website and both were not very good shots of the outside. I asked for additional pictures of the inside and outside. I received a 6 second video that showed basically from the front corner to the drivers door. I let the salesperson know it was only 6 seconds. A couple of days went by with no response, until Cargurus sent me a notice the vehicle was no longer available. A couple days after that I received an email from the salesperson saying they could send more detailed video and pictures. I told them no thanks, moved on.

Nice car good deal. Salesman was friendly and courteous. Gave me a great deal for my trade in. Only concern was tire were worn gonna need to replaced soon and my AC is acting up. Was cold when I test drove but minute I drove off it wasn’t cold. Looks like it’s gonna need to be replaced. Urggg. I guess their 250 inspection was BS.
A was constantly told I’m going to email you then told I’m sorry I was on lot all day. We were in purchasing stage I was waiting for the paperwork then I received text oh sport but the vehicle just sold. This was after a week of waiting on salesman for paperwork when day 1 I said I want to purchase vehicle just need paperwork. Reviews online obviously do not lie.

I was treated respectfully and overall I'm happy with my purchase. Dennis and the staff I dealt with were friendly and helpful. I rate them highly.
I did have concerns with the dealership "Dealer details" description of the truck on line. Whether accidental in errors of "copy/paste" the description described things like (Onstar service, seat heaters ) that were not available on the truck after I arrived on site after driving 1-1/2 hrs. to finalize the purchase. Obviously my concerns were not enough to change my mind about the purchase.

Smart Chevrolet was not easy to deal with. We drove 75 miles to be told we shouldn't waste their time driving the truck because we
weren't willing to pay sticker price. The truck had more damage than pics showed and needed repairs before it could be test driven.

The sales person who contacted me was not professional. She left a voicemail on my phone saying “Call me and get it”. That’s it! And then kept asking via text when I could come into the dealership for a test drive after I said twice I was not able to come into the dealership.

My wife and drove over a hundred miles on 11/30/2020 to see a dark blue Buick Enclave that looked like someone was living in it due to all the trash and clutter. Pictures do not reveal the extent of cosmetic defects and minor body damage. Upon arrival, I was informed that the radio didn't work and something else they didn't remember was wrong with it. They even promised to deliver it once they resolved them. One would think that the car would be ready or at least clean given a potential buyer is coming from out of town. The overall experience bordered on disrepect. The way this vehicle looked compared to the pics made me feel like I had been catfished. Not only will I not recommend, I would go as far as warning people who ask to not waste their time. Very disappointing.

I found that to be completely unprofessional for an introductory email and I won't be contacting them. Also I could not find this truck on their website. Sorry guys you got it all wrong.

My experience was awful with smart Chevrolet. They lied about the vehicle, gave me the haggle about financing, Jean told me the 1st sales person Ana wasn't the real deal and that I wasn't approved. Brittany kept telling me everything was good to go and that I was approved, while Jean kept saying I wasn't. This want on for 10 or 12 days. By this time Ana,Brittany and Jean all stop responding to my emails, calls and texts. A sales person by the name of Colt started looking into the application process after I explained to him what the other 3 sales person was telling me. Colt was a big help and was honest about what was going on with the vehicle financing. Colt worked with me for about 3 days. Then Jean called me and told me I was approved, but the vehicle I was interested in had been sold, and offered me other options. I was very disappointed. I told him that yall dragged on this for 2weeks, ran my credit twice and sold the vehicle I wanted to finance. Now that's Bad business.

Dealer has listing described as "High Roof". I made contact with intentions of buying/needing a high roof cargo van as they have this one described. Then I looked closer at the photos and realized this vehicle is a low roof and would not meet by needs. I explained to the salesperson I was no longer interested in purchasing the van because it was not what I was needing. But they continued calling me trying to sale me a van I told them I didn't need because it was not a high roof. I had to explain to the salesperson the difference in the roof heights and what makes the one they have a low roof and not a high roof van. Took a week for them to stop trying to sale me that van I can't use.
And to my lack of surprise, the dealer has made no attempt to change the description of this listing to reflect a true description of the vehicle as a "low roof" cargo van.

They were friendly but would not budge on the price, Would not let me take it to the local
Mercedes Dealer for PPI.......they wanted to take it.
Sales rep was very pushy over the phone. The truck I inquired about was already sold and she tried to push another truck on me. After I told her I wasn’t interest she said she could look for me another truck and tried to sneakily run my credit by trying to acquire my social over the phone.
Awesome experience dealing with the Smart Chevy team! Chris and Isaac were very quick to respond to my initial inquiry. Vehicle was exactly as expected, and the price was as advertised opposed to other larger dealers I have experienced that list lower prices online (after rebates that I didn't qualify for) to lure you in and hit you with much higher prices. Terrible. Horrible and disappointing. James the salesman we unfortunately ended up with could have cared less about us. Was way too distracted with another woman looking at a more expensive vehicle. Bottom line, left with our care feeling insulted and a complete waste of a two hour drive there. Avoid James at all costs.

Dealer will go out of their way to sell you a vehicle and to purchase warranty that is a joke. Once you purchase the vehicle you're on you're own if you have a breakdown. I've owned my vehicle for only 2 months already 2 roadside breakdowns and $1088.00 in repairs not covered under warranty. Dealer never returns calls.

The dealer contacted me and we scheduled a test drive. They had the car
waiting for me when i ardived. Car was everything described and the staff
was friendly and helpful. We talked price but didn't make a deal. Maybe
this isn't unusual, but a week later the advertised price on the car was
reduced to less than i was offered after my test drive.

This was the best dealership I’ve been too. I couldn’t make it there so they brought the car to me. It was a 2 hour drive, I signed the papers and they are mailing the papers back to me. Paul was so socializing that it felt like I was talking to a friend. He answered questions off the clock ad I didn’t mean to ask off the clock. They are the bes go and see Paul.

I am disappointed with the customer experience. I was in the process of negotiating a car deal, getting my application (including credit pulled) completed. A few hours later the sales guy called and told me that another customer showed up and was purchasing the car. How do you sell a car with a pending nogotiation, that is very poor customer service. The car I was trying to purchase had been on the lot for nearly 250 days and all of a sudden on the same day I want to buy the car, it was sold to another customer in the middle of my attempt to purchase it. This dealership has very poor customer service!
This is the 2nd time i reached out to them about this Avalanche. I get called
back from different people asking me the same question. And when i
answer, they each say t hey'll get back to me and never do. So after reading
other reviews, i get it. I won't deal with Smart Chevrolet. They are very
unprofessional.

Could not of been any better. Top of the line.
Dealer Internet team responded. Set appointment. I said we only wanted that car and to notify if anything changes. Car was sold before appt with no notification. Assigned salesperson told wife they tried to notify us with phone and email, no record of either...so lied? Then tried to sell a different car. Manager responded after Yelp comments and provided apology, but a look at reviews shows this isn't first or only time.
The staff was very friendly and easy to work with! They worked really hard to get me financed considering my credit wasn’t that great! I appreciate how personal the staff were and made me feel like a friend rather than just a customer!! Thank you all at Smart Chevrolet for helping me with everything!!! Contacted dealer. I had two trades. They asked for pics and VIN #s of both which I provided twice to two different people. Waited 4 days and still never got a trade value on either one. During this entire ordeal the sales manager did call me and speak with me who was a nice guy but I never did get and figures. This past Tuesday I got a text from Peggy asking could I come down there, still with no trade values, but it was to late as I was on my way to another dealership to purchase a similar Benz.

Very bad experience dealing with this dealership. I received the van a week later than promised, and only after innumerable back and forth with the two managers who were supposed to fix the problem right away. They had a complete lack of communication between them and their employees, and caused me a huge amount of aggravation and stress, since they made me pay up front for a vehicle that took so long for me to receive. If I could, I would give them less than one star!

Although the salesperson polite and courteous, we had difficulty negotiating a price. We we're never offered a counter offer , so we left back home, 2 hours away. Then the y dropped the price on the very truck we made an offer on!
Cheyenne helped me in buying my first car! She was there for me every step

Everyone at this dealer ship was real nice. Also if they have a car you want, they will do there vest to get you in that car. If you need to speak with someone Robert is the man to talk to.
Very shady place. Truck was in questionable condition, so I offered 2,000 dollars less than what they wanted. I was told "someone was on the way right now willing to pay our price".... yeah, right. Drove a couple hours to visit, so I was hoping to at least be able to negotiate. A week later they emailed me offering the truck for what I had asked, but no thanks. Not driving all the way our there again.

Called while I was in transit and inform them of my arrival time and still wasn't told they didn't have the vehicle I was supposed to see and purchase. Let me know that car I saw online was no longer available. I did look online

Dealer knew we were coming to see the car. Yet tires were flat upon arrival for sitting so long. Car has been in a collision and the front bumper wasnt replaced correctly. Interior smelled like cigarette smoke. And they refused to lower the price. Yet I just received a email stating the price has been lowered almost $1000! Well too late.

So I went to smart chevrolet to buy a 2012 gmc seirra. It was late in the evening so by the time me and my wife signed the papers the banks where close and it couldn't be processed, they told us to come back in the morning to resign the papers so because we may get a better interest rate, which was fine. They put a dealer tag on the truck and we left that night. On the way home I noticed the truck had a little play in the steering which I though came from the 35" tires and 6 inch lift because they gave me a paper stating the truck just passed state inspection with flying colors. My wife drove the truck to work the next day and was going to get a va state inspection done on her lunch break. I got to the dealership at 10:30 per the dealerships request to sign my portion on the paperwork. She took the truck to her uncles shop who is a licensed va inspector and an ASE certified mechanic. When he put the truck on the lift the top ball joints were literally about to fall out of the spindles. It would not pass inspection!!!! The sale manager said that they would have fixed the truck but after being lied to about the vehicle being inspected at their facility, I felt I was under no obligation to buy the vehicle and being that my wife had note signed the paper work we were off the hook. My wife took off work to take the vehicle back to the dealership and get our trade in back. Upon arrival she was treated like a piece of trash, with observe jesters made toward us because we did not want the vehicle anymore even though they said they would fix the ball joints and 2 other issues that were found on a like new vehicle. They were very unprofessional to say the least. They pushed very hard for us to buy a 3000 dollar extended warranty for they truck to cover it for another 36,000 miles, and I believe they knew the ball joints where bad and was planning on the warranty to pay for the repairs after the service. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone looking for an new or pre-owned vehicle or any type of service work. I'm very surprised they are even in business after hearing more than one of these stories from others after the fact. Good luck and buy with caution

bought it because I wanted it. It's a hard truck to find east of the Mississippi.

This dealership lied about many things. They
put brand new tires in my car and never
balanced the. They sold me this vehicle with
no break pads. One of the rear glass hydronic
lifts is missing.
I drove 5 hours one way to buy this vehicle and
was promised that everything works and the
vehicle was inspected. Well if it was inspected
the sure didn't inspect the breaks.
I have called the dealership several times
about these issues. With no results. Do not
buy a used car from them. They don't properly
inspect them.

dealership from 20 miles away
and looked at the vehicle I was
interested in and no one came

spoke to me. They were busy
with other people, however no

or anything. Obviously this staff
