Dealer was responsive and reached out quickly.
The only reason I'm not giving it one star is that the sales associate was really helpful and let me do test drives of 4 vehicles. But the finance
manager was slimy, the total estimate they gave me included a bunch of BS fees that were basically the "undercoating" and other BS "weather
protection" for thousands of dollars when it's just the stuff you get from a $30 carwash. There's literally a Seinfeld episode about this exact kind
of dealership adding "rustproofing and undercoat"

Very poor service. After trying to contact them all morning they finally pick up the phone. I asked about a vehicle and I was sold the night before⊠ok I get it. Next day the run my credit without authorization when they clearly knew I wasnât interested anymore. I loose point by them doing this so I contacted them to remove my inquiry and general Manager says he canât do anything about it. Poor way of doing business. Save your time and stay away.

This vehicle advertisement of $31,000, was only off by about $10k out the door. Wonât ever do business with them, too many other choices.

i didnt even go down to buy the car. too far from OC, but the salesguy i spoke with was probably my most memorable out of all the sales people i talked to. very pleasant, not pushy and helpful!

Richard, salesman, was not very helpful.
My brother & gf drove an hour plus away to have
the deal done but Richard wonât even budge on
the price ( even for $300) on a $20k car.

Worst experience. I called on a Friday and spoke with a sales rep. about a vehicle i had seen in Cargurus. He said the vehicle was in stock and I told him he had Costco pricing. . He asked if I was going to share any information with other dealers,and I told him no. He never called back. as he said he would. When I called back after waiting 24 hours I spoke to internet sales manager RJ. I gave him the serial number of the car . He stalled me and said he had to go physically to check see if it was still there and to verify if it had the options like his print out said. I had to call back twice again., I identified I had Costco pricing. He Gave me an O-T-D- price based on a Dealer Invoice price that he inflated by $1500.00. I knew it was wrong so I called him back but again he gave me the wrong info. I called a Manager named Randall next day ,told him the story, he apologize and told me he wanted to help.but needed 3 days. On the 4th, day I called back and got the Bait & switch. Bad,

This dealership would not certify this vehicle, and also didnât even offer to sell me a warrantee on it. Something seemed off about this car to me. But overall nice people.

Communication was untruthful. They tried to sell it to me for more than the advertised price. The original price was listed as $6,999. I spoke to them and the salesman said "I
talked with my manager and want to make a deal with you. I can do $6,495 this weekend while it lasts". I then found their ad and the price had been lowered to $5,999.
When I contacted them to ask about the lower priced ad, I was told that they sold it to someone else for for $6,999. I would not recommend any dealer that would take
advantage of someone and sell a vehicle for more than the advertised price.

I went in, looked at and drove the car I went in to see. I told them I liked the
car but had a couple of appointments to go to but then I would return in a
couple of hours to work out a deal. I called them a couple of hours later to
say I was on my way back and they told me to come on over. When I got
back they told me the car had been sold. I understand that it's first come,
first served, but was chagrined that they couldn't hold it for me for a couple
of hours. That being said, not a bad place and nice people.

I had called this dealership and arranged a appointment with the consultant
and she told me she would let me know if the car had sold before I drove and
hour down to go look at it. When I got there the car had sold two days before
my appointment and I received no call.

Horrible the car was full of dog hair not clean. And could not test drive cause safety inspection not done. Yet and this was my 2nd attempt. Needles to say I will not be returning.
Subaru El Cajon has a great staff, from the first contact by Celia to the time we actually went to look at the vehicle everyone was prompt and courteous. Leo took us on a test drive, he was informative and very helpful. When we went inside to talk numbers, Justin was patient and very knowledgeable, and Deanna was very hospitable. Unfortunately we did not make a deal, slightly above our budget or I would have given them five stars, but a good dealership I would recommend to others.

They responded quickly to my inquiry and have a nice selection of cars and trucks. The salespeople are very pleasant to work with. I ended up buying a truck there.
I had a horrible experience. First off, I called and asked if a particular car
was available. I was told that it was, I came in to see it, and it had been
sold the day before. I was shown a different vehicle, we sat for 4 hours and
came to a price. I made arrangements to come in and sign the paperwork
the following day and when I came in to sign, the vehicle was being shown
to someone else. The finance guy (and owner's son) asked that we wait
around for an hour in case that deal fell through. No thanks! Horrible
service. They'll do anything for a buck.

Pleasantly impressive! Sales crew was abundantly accommodating and surpassed my expectations! I'd been searching for a car for 6 months on CarGurus and had been to see over 9 cars that were a huge disappointment. Ended up spending more than what I had budgeted, couldn't be happier! They let the car sell itself. I hate pushy sales men. Got a 3 year warranty as well as my vehicle delivered almost 3 hours from there location. Thanks Guys! All of you shoppers need to stop by this place! You won't be let down unless you suck.

Although it was only online communication, you guys were prompt to respond. I appreciate the follow up.
Worst car buying experience EVER. To save time
I filled out an online credit application only to be
told I still had to come into the dealership for
them to run it. Or otherwise their hands were
binded.
Once there, it took them over an hour to get me
an answer I could have stayed home to receive.
Once the decision was made that we could not
get a deal done I was rushed out the door like a
piece of trash.
And here is the worst part. I have worked in the
sales and customer service industry myself for
over twenty years. While leaving the dealership I
noticed that the vehicle I had driven there was
side swiped in the parking lot.
Their response to this was it's a parking lot we
can't control what happens here. Take it to a car
wash and see what they can do.
I asked the manager if he would be willing to do
whatever was in his power to help me and at
least make an attempt at doing the RIGHT thing
and he passed.
Not only well they never get my business but I
will make it my personal journey to make sure
nobody I know or anybody they know buys a
vehicle from this dealership.
There is a way of doing business and a way of
treating people in general. And they failed
miserably at both. And by the way. The car I had
driven wasn't my vehicle. It was a family friends
2017 Chevy Cruze. So a relatively new car.
I really hope this information helps others in the
future. It's the principle of the situation that has
me upset. If they hadn't been so insistent upon
me having to be there this would have never
happened.
They could have run my application while in the
comfort of my own home but because of their
pushiness my friends car is now damaged.
Their actions created a chain reaction of events
that led to this situation. I hope the karma comes
back and bites then in their behinds. Especially
the manager who could have and should have
done the right thing. Mazda/Subaru of El Cajon
is not only the worst car buying experience of my
life but the worst customer experience of my life.

I went to look at the car and it was nice. I have a 2010 Dodge Charger SXL
and he offer me 1/2 of what it was worth. He has been emailing me and
asking me what he could do, but when I was there the seller who contacted
me went in the back and brought out another gentlemen and he pretty much
dismissed me. Won't go back there.

Horrible. The salesman was sleazy and tried wasting my time with lies and an attempt to eventually sell me a different car than what I was there for. They didn't even try to help me for being a Marine combat veteran. They kept saying "thank you for your service" but they just couldn't let go of their agenda to sell a car. I went to another dealership and bought a car there same day.

Salesman we had been dealing w for a few weeks texted us the price had come down, we made an offer, he accepted, gave us the price w tax and then took back the offer. Overall the salesman had no idea what he was doing, and his texts and calls and tactics were amature. DO NOT GO HERE. It's poorly run, and unqualified salespeople.

purchased and the finance department
was very thorough on the details of the
purchase.
Never responded so i went to the
location myself an when i went
the sales guy was very pushy to
run my credit. He barley let me
drive the car, i was probably in
the car for 3 min driving. I asked
him several questions about the
vehicle and every answere was
the same, "idk but it looks good,
buy it." I told him to find some
information on it first then i will
concider running my credit if it
was something i wanted. He
never gave me a call after that.

The fabulous car deal on the website was just a tool to draw us in. After test-driving it, I was told someone else was buying it and I should look at another car (much more expensive) car on the lot. I spend the day sweating in town for nothing. Very inconsiderate and dishonest.
