my mustang is 67 coupe and it was manufactured in new jersey and brought to California. It was originally a v6 but converted it to a 289 v8. The undercarriage is in amazing shape and so is the motor but it does over heat but I have a list of things that the motor needs for it to help with the over heating. Clean title. 302 heads and a c4 tranny. It's not the original engine I purchased this engine about a year ago it had barley been rebuilt when I bought it, it's .40 over so it still has another life left. Everything under the hood is new, valve covers, new distributor, aluminum radiator, eldbrock intake and carb too, The odometer doesn't work if I had to assume how many miles it has I'd say 3k I might even be exaggerating its lower I only took it out every other weekend for a cruise it's garage kept. The car is painted black it was supposed to be flat black but came out almost with a gloss like color. Body is straight it was blocked when painted. it's still a project car but it runs. This car was resurrected from a Florida boneyard 12 years ago. After a great deal of cash, blood, sweat, tears, and more than a few curse words - it lives again. 1967 was the first year the Mustang was redesigned. It was lengthed and widened specifically to fit a big block engine. The 390 was the first to be dropped into these cars, followed by the 427,428, and 429 in the years that followed. This car has the 390 with a FoMoCo aluminum tripower intake and three Holley two barrel mechanically engaged carbs, power front disc brakes, power steering, and the turn signal hood. Handling is phenominal - in a straight line. With that big chunk of iron under the hood, cornering and stopping are challenging. Reliability and gas mileage are both wishful dreams, but that's the nature of these beasts. It's a head turner. Expect to spend a great deal of time at the pumps. Almost every time, someone will wander over with a story about theirs or their parents old Mustang/Camaro/whatever. That's what these cars are all about - enjoyment and camaraderie.Mar 12, 2012

By modern standards it isn't a very fast and the brakes are about as effective as sponges rubbing on the axle, but it is still wonderful. The handling feels solid and direct (no power-steering), the engine is always ready to play, and the hood stretching out in front gives an amazing sense of theater and occasion. It required lots of electrical work initially, but once everything important was replaced, it hasn't broken down since. The interior is simple, sparse, and a bit worn, of course, but there are hundreds of aftermarket parts to make things more interesting. The steering wheel is made of high quality wood (it even has finger notches!) and makes something as mundane as turning the wheel an experience of old school quality. When it comes to looks, the 67 Mustang is completely unmatched in my opinion. It manages to be elegant, muscular, and menacing at the same time. From inside the car, you get a sense of focus and occasion from the simplicity of it. This car isn't strong on gas mileage, but what do you expect from an old American V8? Between the way it feels to drive and the fact that you want to walk backwards after getting out to look at it a bit longer, this car is fantastic.Jul 14, 2010

OH BABY! this car was made by God himself (aka Shelby Corbra) its performance is just beyond amazing. It pushes a V8 so it gets off the line in no time. Is fitted with a corba engine kicking atleast 500 hp. its a balst to go fast in. Since its rear wheel drive its smoth aroung the corners. hasnt needed any repairs, just improvements and upgrades. This hotass has a slick gloss gray paint job with black racing strips. the milage isnt the best, but what do you expect from a car made in the 60's. its just an American classic. Beautiful, fast, fun, powerful, slick, and pretty much perfect! You can have your foreign motors, ill take the American classic anyday of the week.Apr 09, 2010

This car was absolutely AWESOME to drive. First off, mine was a straight six - 200 cubic inch motor. 120 HP stock, pushing roughly 87 hp to the wheels. It was slow, but I didn't care. It handled great, no shakes, brakes were awesome. By the way, it had manual steering, and manual brakes, a breeze to stop anyways or turn. It had some rust, some touch ups needed, it was 40+ year old car, whatcha expect? Other than that, I thought it was a very good shape, sexy looking car. Gas mileage, I believe was 19ish city. Which is no bad at all, but I didn't get to drive it far or much before it would no longer run.Apr 06, 2010

This car is in the middle of a restoration. It was originally my dads car from the 70s. He performed all the mods it currently has. It has an original 390 BB with 42,000 miles and a 4spd tranny in addition to 15 in wide hoosier stock car tires, crager 22 rims, custom sidepipe exhaust, dual holley 650 cfm carbs, ford performance mid rise manifold, rally pac guages, additional taillights, custom fender flares, 8 point roll cage. I also plan on adding my own touches. Shaved door handles, tight gaps, modern audio system, billet grill and a few other things. performance wise total rebuild on the engine, port and polish the heads, blueprint, aluminum driveshaft, chassis stiffeners, disc brakes all around, mustang II front suspension. I love my car because me and my dad built it together and that means alot to me. I like the performance and the overall look, but there is alot of work that has to be done so that it is perfect. Like that windsheld leaks and there is alot of rattles inside. It needs new suspension in the rear and a good tune up. I hope to retire it and eventually rebuild it one day to make it a show car.Nov 21, 2008

This vehicle started life as a regular 1967 Mustang fastback with a 289. It came into the shop as a Eleanor recreation. The old 289 and automatic transmission had been removed and in its place was a 429 mated to a Tremec 5 spd transmission. At idle this car was loud enough to shake the pictures off the wall in our waiting room. It had the body kit and pepper gray paint from the movie... it was almost identical to the car in the movie. The owner of this monster had installed a custom racing suspension kit, Willwood brakes, a custom built 9in out back and various other doodads including a reverse camera. This car could have been built alot better though if it had been done by someone who knew what they were doing. We had to repair alot of the mistakes that had been made during assembly. Apr 15, 2008

In 1967 Ford built argueably the most beautiful cars ever produced, the 1967 Mustang. Today, through movies such as Gone in 60 Seconds and televised auto auctions like Barrett-Jackson, the '67 Fastback has become one of the most sought after Muscle Cars of all time... but it wasn't always that way. The coupe outsold the fastback in 1967 by a landslide. I'm not exactly sure why, though one could speculate that it had something to do with the fact that the coupe was lighter and more nimble, especially when equipped with a 289 V8 small block. But for those searching for brutish torque and straight line performance, the Big Block 390GT engine was offered for the first time in the Mustang. It was the first time that the Mustang was considered a Muscle Car, no longer the little "Pony Car". The GTA option was also offered, which didn't officially last past 1967. Grand Touring Automatic was what it stood for, but the GT option with an automatic transmission was offered two years before and continued to be offered through 1969, just dropping the "A" at the end of the emblem. I am the proud owner of a 1967 Mustang 390 GTA coupe. It's a fantastic driving experience. To hear the rumble of the factory GT exhaust, feel the power of the 390GT engine on a straightaway, to understand the significance of such cars in the place of automoive history, really makes the car a joy to own and drive. We also own a '67 coupe powered by a 289 and it also is a wonderful and reliable car. We take long road trips in it and always have a wonderful time. The mustang is a comfortable, nimble and overall fun to drive car. Which is why the love affair with the Mustang continues today.Sep 02, 2007
