Expert review
The Murano brings spacious comfort and sporty handling to the midsize SUV segment.
The Murano represents the ideal crossover, combining the versatile cabin and commanding seating position of an SUV with the refinement and driving mannerisms of a car. The Murano also benefits from a wide track and standard V6 power, making it a compelling vehicle to drive. Nissan first introduced the Murano for the 2003 model year, slotting into a unique market position. The Toyota Highlander is larger, but the Honda CR-V is smaller, putting the Murano in a sweet spot that focuses on two spacious rows of seating and some added cargo space when needed.

What owners say
"Overall, owners of the 2007 Nissan Murano are quite pleased with their vehicles. They rave about its spacious interior, stylish design, and comfortable ride. Many appreciate its performance, especially its power and handling. However, some drivers have raised concerns about high repair costs and not-so-great gas mileage, making it a bit pricey to maintain."
Love love love this SUV! So stylish and very smooth!!
October 9, 2025Great make and model! Perfect for families and long trips. Handles very well and is extremely comfortable. Has all the bells and whistles one could want. I highly recommend this vehicle to someone in the small SUV market. Very roomy.
January 21, 2013This car has everything you could want. Stock includes 18" rims, pwr windows/mirrors/locks. Ours also has fog lights, leather seats, heated front seats and side view mirrors, and a sun roof. This is one of the only cars we saw with 4 wheel disc brakes, and believe me they work great. This has been one of the best SUVs I've ever driven. It rides and handles like a car, but has better clearence than many other SUVs. With the AWD on my rig, we never have any issues with the snowy roads of northeastern Washington. There are really only 3 cons to this car, but they all are common. 1. Gas mileage isn't great. However, for this year all SUVs were either worse or about the same. It just can't compare to brand new SUVs. 2. Repairs are expensive. We had to replace a high pressure power sterring hose when we purchased it. The total cost was a little over $500. Remember that this is a luxury vehicle though. You would expect to pay the same if not more for a BMW, Mecedes, or Audi. 3. Purchase cost is often high. Again its a luxury vehicle, so no surprise. Its also a very popular car, so there's a lot of demand. In my area they were selling for around $20k when I purchased. I was able to go to another area and get it for just $13k.

July 27, 2012A reliable SUV with style! The Murano handles great in all weather conditions. Perfect vehicle for commuting or those with growing families. Looking for something with a third row due to future family. Would strongly recommend this vehicle to others!
May 12, 2012Very practical and comfortable. It provides the performance of a luxury Sport utility vehcle with a gas millage comparable to a car. It basically is the perfect choice for a family looking for a bigger space without compromising style. It handles very well both on the freeway and off-road, the optional all wheel drive comes in handy if you are looking to drive it off-road. Very Very nice looking with a satisfactory performance. Best SUV for the money.
March 14, 2012I love my car! It looks good and rides great! I just really like it a lot and it is not that bad on gas either considering the options out there fun to drive too very spacious good family car
May 14, 2009Very nice looking car, the best part of this car is that i can start the engine without using the key, and the key memorized the seat position of the key holder. The only thing that i don't like about this car is the wind noise. Loud wind noise make the Bose speaker useless.
September 4, 2008beautiful car, nice look, I'm also in luv with the copper colour. super fast , spacious, sturdy built.AWD works marvelously in the beach so it's not just a crossover but a true SUV that can get u anywhere.........
April 29, 2008Overall good power, size and drive for the price($25,000).
October 14, 2007I decided to look at the Murano because I had originally been looking at the Infiniti FX35 but that only comes in leather. I didn't want leather for Hawai'i, so I test-drove the Murano and fell in love immediately...the interior is huge. Great head and leg room for me (5'9") and my husband (6'1") in the front. The back is gigantic and the back seats even recline! So much space for moving stuff and going to the beach with friends. Decent stock stereo. Love this car...it's beautiful...
