This truck over all is a 100% need for anyone who loves trucks likes power and the ability to tow or haul or go anywhere but if you are a Eco freak or worry about gas mileage this truck is not for you

Like the performance out of the 4.7 unloaded but not a good truck for towing. Have put 57k on it and have not had any trouble exept for the transmission leak out of the box that has been looked at three times but never completly repaired.

Build qual. is very good! I have added a few engine "tweeks" and it really "scoots"! Gas mileage is around 18 to 19 on the highway, and drops to ~14-15 mpg overall with mostly around town driving. Of course, one must not be tempted to "put your foot in it" as the mileage quickly goes south if done. Ride quality is as good as many sedans if not better. Nice to be up higher for a better view of the road. This is my second Dodge truck and I would definitly buy another one.

Performs well towing the boat, gets around good in the snow, hauls what I need it to, crazy amount of interior space. Downside is that it's on a 3/4-ton chassis and rides like a cement truck, terrible fuel economy...averaging about 11-12 MPG mostly interstate to/from work.

lots of power. good handling. i get lots of compliments on it. plenty of room inside for the family. very comfortable on long trips. fuel economy could be better, only get about 15mpg. has a k&n intake on it.

36K on it. Had to replace tie rod. V6 is a little underpowered for it but still ok. Good riding. Roomy interior. High off the ground. Good mpg (20 highway). Comfortable. Everything else is doing well. I recommend it to everyone.

Build quality is very good, but wish doors closed quieter (tighter). Power is great especially with a chip, cold-air intake, and Flowmaster exhaust. Appearance is awesome. Cost to maintain is low and average mileage is around 16+. Hiway mileage is pushing 19. I still think the transmission shifting and gear engaging could be improved, especially when using the cruise control--way too much "jerkiness" when the MDS system is working. The only way to eliminate this factor is to use the tow/haul button which effectively eliminates the MDS system. Love to drive it!!

This my 2008 Dodge Ram. 4.7 liter V8 with a six speed transmission. Currently has upgraded LED tail lights and 3rd brake light and dual air intake. Love driving it and turning over the tires every now and then. Plans for the future inclue Halo headlights and fog lights, 285/70/17 off road tires, and a 2.5 in leveling kit.

This truck is my baby, loads of power, never needed repairs, looks stylin. its a blast to drive and the only bad point has to be the fact that it costs a good bit to drive. it is fun though

performance truck moves its weight very nicely its a little wallowy in the corners but truck seems very light on its feet. Dislikes MDS, stock speakers sound HORRIBLE, body panals dent very very easily. more aggressive tires from the factory

extremely nice and very tough. very good on gas for a 4x4 truck

good acceleration, decent handling (it is a truck), great at stopping no repairs needed so far the gas can be a hefty cost but so far low on maintenance cost for a truck its not bad to drive though its mostly stock (for now anyways)

I love my truck. Wish I had the Hemil though. I got the 4.7l V8 which is good. But having the Hemi power plant under the hood would increase my love for my truck. Guess its ok for now. I can go buy a chip and a performance filter. Im happy with it. But my next truck will be a Hemi.

I don't have anything negative to say about this truck, the 3.7 V6 is a gas saver. We have hauled rv's and trailors, boats with no problems. The dodge ram 1500 handle and drives very well, you can feel in control.

It's a truck. No doubt about it. My first truck since a 1966 chevy pick up. Not disappointed at all. The 3.7 has plenty of power for what I need. The ride is comfortable on the open road. (a little rough around town, but it is a truck) Appearance is classy, but not overdone. Cabin is large enough that no one gets cramped. Easy read instrument panel, and controls. I like it and would reccomend it.

It's been fun to own, gets me around and allows me to move my motorcycle when I need to. There's nothing special about it other than the fact that Dodge has the most features on their base model trucks! And cheap, stickered at $23K, drove it off the lot at $11K.

Pretty good truck overall. This one did not have power windows or locks. Decent power & performance. We had to put new O2 sensors and cat converters in order to pass Calif smog. Other than that, the truck was great. Looks sharp also.

For truck I only drive Dodge. Reason #1 a buddy has a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado and has replaced the electrical system 2 times, 3 blower motors melted and now turn signals dont work. Oh yeah he has 50,000 miles on that. I have not had any problems other then a PCM that was a recall. 325hp out of a 4.7L better then chevrolet and ford, oh yeah I can get 22mpg on the highway.

Traded 02 for the 08 and discovered less interior room at 6'4" I need space, still more than Chevy or Ford...,

This truck handles well... for a truck. It's got loads of power with the 5.7L HEMI, and with the multi displacement engine system, the gas mileage on the highway is a lot easier to take (17-20 mpg) than around town (9-10 mpg). There are quite a few squeaks and rattles developing and it definitely doesn't ride like a luxury sedan, but it is a truck, and looks and acts every bit the part. I have put almost 90,000 km on this vehicle and so far, other than regular oil changes, I've only had to change the tie rod ends.

20' Wheels look great - tons of power. Lucky I still have a license. Factory tires are crap for the winter and wet weather - but it's a 4x4 so it gets by. Looks racey and fast and rumbles like a hot rod. Can burn through a tank of gas in no time if you drive it like you stole it. Even the 1500 is a big truck andshort people like my wife have to take a running leap to get in it.

11 MPG's, What was I thinking! This truck has a lot of power and the ride is quite comfy for a big truck. Plenty of room in the back for passengers and even more room for haulin. I would definatly recommend this truck to everyone not concerned about saving money at the pump.

I like the size, power and ablility to use it for yard work ect. I have about 92,000 right now and recently have had an issue. The truck is sluggish when going from a start and when i am on the freeway, it will get up to speed but slowly and I have to really floor it.

The Ram has adequate resources. The chassis is strong and engine reliable.

Great Vehicle to travel with, stable, average on gas, lots of power, Full displacement Hemi is nice to have, like the shortbox, with tonno cover, rides high can see overall traffic, great in winter, Is fun to drive in summer and winter.
