The latest Corvette lives up to its billing as “America’s Sports Car.”
Nearing its 70th anniversary, the Chevrolet Corvette is an automotive institution. While some past Corvette models rested on their laurels, the eighth-generation C8 Corvette is the real deal. The current Corvette Stingray is destined to be superseded by more extreme versions, but even it offers impressive performance and technology, and even manages to be a decent value.
The 2022 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray enters the new model year with only minor changes. Chevy launched an IMSA GTLM Championship Edition (limited to 1,000 units) commemorating the Corvette’s racing success, made some powertrain changes (which don’t affect output), and added three new exterior colors: Hypersonic Gray, Caffeine, and Amplify Orange Tintcoat.
The lineup remains unchanged from 2021, consisting of coupe and convertible body styles, 1LT, 2LT, and 3LT trim levels. A Z51 performance package is available on any trim level, which upgrades the suspension and adds an electronic limited-slip differential and Brembo brakes. Our test car was a 2LT coupe without the Z51 package.

What owners say
"Overall, owners are thrilled with the 2022 Chevrolet Corvette, praising its stunning looks, impressive performance, and comfortable ride. Many reviewers highlighted the excellent handling and value for money, particularly with the mid-engine design. However, some mentioned that it may not feel as quick as rival high-performance cars in certain scenarios."
This car is an enthusiasts dream. The lines on the car are stunning and the engine noise reverberates to your core. Handling is above average and amazing for a US built car. If you want the stylings of a Ferrari/Lambo, noise of a muscle car and the thrill of an upgraded legend, then Id seriously consider the vehicle. The limited edition and racing pedigree of this trim made it irresistible.
December 8, 2024Amazing!! All around Amazing! From the comfort of the seats to the Auto headlights and the user friendly technology. That’s just the beginning! This is one sexy, fast, great handling vehicle.
December 14, 2021The car has all the accessories you could ask for. A very comfortable ride in tour or sport mode. Not quite as quick as other owners have stated but I have been driving a McLaren 650s. I do think it will do 0 to 60 in 3 seconds with no problem. The value is definitely there and the build feels solid. Upscale materials inside and out.

September 20, 2022This is my 7th Corvette. The performance, handling and fit and finish is spectacular.
October 24, 2021My favorite car I’ve owned by far!! I love everything about this car like the looks, the performance, the technology, the comfort, and the practicality (for a car like this) . I recommend this car to anyone that wants one.
August 25, 2024The features on the C8 are amazing! A fantastic upgrade to the C7. I especially enjoy the heated steering wheel and all of the additional camera views. The corvette is always an exceptional value! Pound for pound, dollar for dollar, the best sports car on the market! The car is just missing from the dealerships. I would compare this car to the Porsche, Jaguar, Lexus, amarket. exotics on the market, and it beats them hands down!
April 5, 2022The 2022 Stingray C8 is an Amazing Car, I really think that the value for the money is exceptional for the styling, handling and performance that it offers.
December 17, 2021A gorgeous vehicle!! What other car comes close to this beauty? Answer: none!!!
April 30, 2024The car is amazing. Comparing to the C7, which is equally amazing but the C8 is a totally different animal. Corvette by heritage but taking the car in direction that truly allows it to compete with other sports cars. Absolutely nothing wrong with prior generations that at the time were top dog, this is a grand departure that keeps Corvette in the completion. With a Corvette you really can’t go wrong. Drive a C8 to understand the difference, be careful you may want to buy one.
December 11, 2023The 2 LT package Z51 is one of the finest machines to behold. Super sexy body lines with gigantic air scoops and styling reminiscent of a fighter jet. Absolute missle when you want it or a slick smooth cruiser on a long road trip, or barking dog at the local malt shop. Remote start brings the car to life with a growl and idles down to a purr quickly awaiting a romp or race depending on the day. Can’t wait to roll around Road America in Elkart Lake on track days training days and of course the sunrise/sunset track cruises.
