What’s New for the 2024 Kia EV6
The Kia EV6 was introduced in 2022, offering stylish and efficient transportation for five with a wide range of powertrains and options. For 2024, the Kia EV6 lineup regains the base Light trim level, which was not available for the 2023 model year. This follows 2023’s addition of the performance-oriented GT trim.
Design
The Kia brand broke fresh ground with the EV6’s styling. It’s a fastback-styled midsize crossover with a raked roofline and eye-catching wheel options from 19 to 21 inches. For a more aggressive exterior, look to the GT-Line or GT trims, both of which get exclusive touches. Inside, the EV6 has a premium cabin finished in mostly upscale materials.
Powertrain
Kia offers four powertrains in the 2024 EV6, with the choice of rear-wheel drive (RWD) or all-wheel drive (AWD). The base Light model features 167 horsepower from its 58-kilowatt-hour battery pack, which is good for up to 232 miles of range. Models with a 77.4-kWh battery are rated at 225 or 320 hp, with between 252 and 310 miles of range. The GT features 576 hp and a 218-mile range. EPA efficiency ratings are measured in miles per gallon of gasoline equivalent, or MPGe; they range from 88 MPGe city/77 highway for the GT to 134-136 MPGe city and 100-101 MPGe highway for the least powerful RWD models.

Interior
The Kia EV6 seats five passengers across two rows. The front row is spacious, but the rear bench seat is really only comfortable for two adults, due to the car's width and the limited headroom caused by the dramatically raked roofline. Heated front seats, reclining rear seats, and synthetic leather upholstery come standard. Ventilated front seats and heated rear outboard seats are available on higher trims. Cargo space is below average, at 24.4 cubic feet.
Technology
This Kia is well-equipped with technology right out of the gate. The EV6 comes standard with a 12.3-inch touchscreen display, a 12.3-inch digital information display, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and wireless device charging. There aren’t many options, but you can add a Meridian 14-speaker audio system.
