Lexus offers a stunning number of SUVs, and the smaller models retain much of the luxury and tech of their larger, more expensive counterparts. The NX Hybrid combines those attributes with a nice interior, solid fuel-efficiency, and a value-forward list of standard features.

What’s New for the 2024 Lexus NX Hybrid
The NX Hybrid has received updates in recent years, but changes for 2024 were limited. Lexus added a new available parking-assistance system, but no other updates were publicized at the time of this writing.
Design
The tidy NX Hybrid sports an angular body with a large spindle grille and an aggressive stance. Creases along the lower door line give it a beefy look, and recent updates brought a prominent Lexus badge to the rear liftgate. The simple taillight design includes a horizontal light bar that stretches side to side, and the Hybrid model lacks noticeable exhaust finishers on the lower bumper.
Powertrain
Lexus offers two powertrain options for the 2024 NX Hybrid. The base configuration is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine which works with three electric motors to produce 240 combined horsepower. Stepping up to the NX 450h+ brings a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) system and boosts output to 304 hp. Both powertrains come with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) and all-wheel drive (AWD). Acceleration is reasonable, with the hybrid taking around 7.2 seconds to reach 60 mph and the plug-in hybrid doing the deed in six seconds.
The PHEV offers a 37-mile all-electric driving range and can recharge in about 4.5 hours on a Level 2 charger. The NX offers a mostly smooth ride, though rough roads can make it feel unsettled at times.

Interior
The five-seat NX Hybrid comes standard with synthetic leather upholstery and power-adjustable front seats with heating. Leather upholstery is available, along with ventilated front seats, and a heated steering wheel. The front seats offer good support and space, but adults may find the rear seat more limited on head and legroom.
Technology
Lexus equips a 9.8-inch touchscreen and a 7-inch digital gauge cluster. Standard tech features include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a Wi-Fi hotspot, dual-zone climate control, and Bluetooth. Higher trims boost the touchscreen to 14 inches, and some configurations are available with a Mark Levinson audio system.
