What’s New for the 2024 Toyota Venza
The Toyota Venza compact hybrid crossover carries over unchanged for 2024. Last year, the infotainment system was updated, marking the only notable change since this generation’s debut. It’s worth noting that 2024 will be the final model year of the Venza, with the Toyota Crown Signia taking its place in the brand’s lineup.
Design
This crossover has styling that’s attractive, if not particularly interesting. Standard LED headlights always look good, though they’re becoming the norm; optional LED fog lights enhance the effect. The Venza comes standard with 18-inch alloy wheels and is available with 19-inch wheels. Check out the Nightshade Edition trim level for black exterior accents and black-finished wheels. The Star Gaze roof is a cool and unique option that really lends to the Venza’s design, too. It’s a panoramic roof that can change from transparent to frosted.
Powertrain
Every 2024 Venza gets the same hybrid powertrain. It makes 219 horsepower and 163 pound-feet of torque from its combined 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and two electric motors. Power goes to all four wheels through a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). Performance is about average for the class, and so is fuel economy, with EPA ratings of 40 mpg city, 37 mpg highway, and 39 mpg combined.
Interior
The Venza accommodates five people across its two rows. Adults will want to stick to the front, where the seats are comfortable and offer plenty of support. Though the second row is also reasonably comfortable, the Venza’s roofline sacrifices a ton of headroom.
The Venza comes standard with cloth upholstery and a power-adjustable driver’s seat and is available with a power-adjustable front passenger seat, heated and cooled front seats, a heated steering wheel, and synthetic leather upholstery. Other options include a panoramic moonroof and the aforementioned Star Gaze roof that can adjust opacity.
Cargo capacity of 28.8 cubic feet with the rear seats up and 55.1 cubic feet with the rear seats folded is below average for the class, though a hands-free power liftgate does come standard.
Technology
The 2024 Venza comes standard with an easy-to-use 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that features wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, voice recognition, wireless device charging, five USB-C ports, and navigation. Options in this area are minimal, and include a 12.3-inch digital information cluster and an upgraded 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
