Like many automakers, Audi’s SUV lineup has grown over the years, but the German luxury automaker remains committed to sedans and performance cars. The A5 and S5 are great examples, with the latter model offering a significant performance boost, more aggressive styling, and a higher price than the standard model.

What’s New for the 2025 Audi A5
The S5 was fully redesigned for 2025, gaining updated styling, new tech features, and more driver-assistance technologies. Audi shuffled the car’s body styles for 2025, and the standard sedan is now the prime offering, though it still offers other configurations early in 2025.
Design
The latest A5 features a sleeker body and sporty looks in all configurations. It’s available with a handful of wheel designs, and Audi’s color catalog is one of the more daring in the automotive world. Buyers also have appearance packages and other options that alter the car’s styling.
Powertrain
Audi offers the standard A5 with a pair of turbocharged four-cylinder engines, but the S5 gets a larger V6. It’s a turbocharged 3.0-liter mill, making 349 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission sends power to all four wheels. Audi claims a 0-60 mph time of less than five seconds, aided by the car’s excellent all-wheel drive system. The S5 also has a smooth ride in most situations, but it’s more than capable of carving sharp corners when asked.

Interior
The S5 has reasonably comfortable seating for five people. Leather upholstery, heated front seats, massaging front seats, a heated steering wheel, and power-adjustable seats are standard. Heated rear seats and ventilated front seats are available. While the front buckets are spacious and nicely padded, the rear bench needs more support, and it feels tight on headroom for taller adults. That said, the S5’s large rear hatch space offers up to 22 cubic feet of cargo room, excellent for the class.
Technology
Audi equips a 10.1-ich touchscreen and 7-inch digital gauge cluster as standard. Other standard features include wireless smartphone mirroring, ten speakers, Bluetooth, USB ports, and more. A 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster is available, offering Audi’s Virtual Cockpit system. The display offers views on media, maps, and other vehicle systems in the gauge cluster.
