With coupe-like styling, the Buick Envista is a unique offering in the luxury compact SUV segment. It competes with the likes of the Lexus UX, Mazda CX-30, and Volvo XC40 but costs between $2,000 and $17,000 less. Interestingly, it’s also competitive with the Buick Encore GX, but it is a front-wheel-drive-only model. It comes in three familiar Buick trims: Preferred, Sport Touring, and Avenir.

What’s New for the 2025 Buick Envista
Because the Buick Envista was all-new for the American market in 2024, this is largely a carry-over year for this model. There are some new color options, and we see Sport Touring and Avenir badging removed from the rear of the vehicle. Remote start and rear park assist are standard on all trims, and the vehicle is also now flex-fuel (E85) capable.
Design
Though the 2025 Buick Envista plays in the SUV/crossover space, the fastback styling gives it a more car-like appearance. It has Buick family styling cues, like the checkmark-shaped headlights and trapezoidal grille, but the tail end makes it stand out in the Buick lineup. This may be the least expensive Buick SUV, but it is not the smallest–it’s longer than the Encore GX by more than a foot. The Preferred trim comes standard with 17-inch wheels, the Sport Touring upgrades to 18s with available 19s, and the Avenir comes standard with 19-inch wheels.
Powertrain
The powertrain on the 2025 Buick Envista is monospec. It comes with a 137-horsepower, 1.2-liter, inline three-cylinder turbocharged engine and six-speed automatic transmission. It is also FWD-only. The 2025 Envista has EPA-estimated fuel economy of 28 mpg city, 32 highway, and 30 combined. Buick does not offer a tow rating for the Envista.

Interior
The Preferred trim of the 2025 Buick Envista includes cloth seats with leatherette trim accents, but you will get full leatherette or leather-appointed seats in the Sport Touring or Avenir, respectively. This compact SUV seats five, and though it’s longer than the Encore GX, it has less max cargo capacity at 42 cubic feet because of the coupe-like styling. Both a power liftgate and power moonroof are available on all trims.
Technology
For a vehicle at this price point, the 2025 Buick Envista offers a nice level of standard and available tech features. At the Preferred trim level, you’ll see standard features like the 11-inch high-def infotainment screen, an 8-inch gauge cluster, active noise cancellation, a six-speaker audio system, Sirius XM trial subscription, Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. Available features include an eight-way power adjustable driver’s seat, adaptive cruise control, wireless charging, heated front seats, and rain-sensing wipers.
