What’s New for the 2026 Genesis G80
After a midcycle refresh for 2025, the Genesis G80 midsize luxury sedan is mostly unchanged for the 2026 model year. A new 3.5T Prestige Black all-wheel-drive (AWD) trim level replaces last year’s 3.5T Sport Advanced AWD trim. The digital key is now available with more trim levels, as are manual rear sunshades.
Design
The G80 is a stately looking thing, fronted by a large shield-shaped grille, itself flanked by split headlights. Those LED headlights are echoed along the sides by gills behind the front wheels and again at the rear by split taillights. It's long and wide, and the roofline flows into the trunk in an almost fastback shape. Wheel sizes range from 18 to 20 inches, and the top 3.5T Prestige Black AWD model gets black exterior trim and wheels for a more sinister appearance.
Powertrain
G80 buyers have a choice of two powertrains. The base 2.5T models get a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 300 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque, while the 3.5T brings a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 that produces 375 hp and 391 lb-ft of torque. Both are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, and both come with AWD. EPA fuel economy ratings are 20 mpg city, 29 highway, 23 combined for the four-cylinder and 15/24/18 mpg for the V6.

Interior
The G80 seats five and comes standard with synthetic leather upholstery, power-adjustable front seats, heated front and rear seats, and a heated power tilt/telescoping steering wheel. Real leather and upgraded Nappa leather are available on higher-line models. A panoramic sunroof is standard. The trunk has 13.1 cubic feet of cargo space, which is on the small side for midsize sedans.
Technology
Every 2026 Genesis G80 features a 27-inch screen that combines a digital instrument cluster and infotainment touchscreen. They also get standard navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and a trial satellite radio subscription. A nine-speaker audio system comes standard, while an available Bang & Olufsen audio system has 18 speakers and 1,400 watts of power.
