The Nissan Rogue was all-new in 2021 and received a mid-cycle refresh in 2024. This compact SUV faces stiff competition, squaring off against the Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V, Hyundai Tucson, Kia Sportage, and Mazda CX-5. The 2026 Nissan Rogue has five trims: S, SV, Dark Armor, Rock Creek, and Platinum.

What’s New for the 2026 Nissan Rogue
Since the Nissan Rogue got a mid-cycle refresh in 2024, there aren’t a lot of big sweeping changes for the 2026 model year. However, it’s worth noting that the SL trim has been dropped, and a new Dark Armor trim has been added. This new variant builds on the SV and adds gloss-black exterior accents, 19-inch gloss-black wheels, and satin-black roof rails. It also adds premium features such as a 360-degree camera, panoramic moonroof, heated front seats, and a heated steering wheel.
Design
The Nissan Rogue has an upright stance with a distinctive split headlight treatment. Though there aren’t any appearance packages available, each trim has its unique flair. For example, the Rogue Dark Armor sports dark exterior accents, while the Rock Creek has bright orange accents, a unique grille, and a black tubular roof rack. Standard wheels are 17 inches, but 18- and 19-inch wheels are available as you level up, depending on the trim.
Powertrain
The 2026 Nissan Rogue comes standard with a turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine that delivers 201 horsepower and 225 pound-feet of torque. Front-wheel drive (FWD) is standard on the S, SV, and Dark Armor trims, with all-wheel drive (AWD) being available. AWD is standard on both the Rock Creek and Platinum trims. The FWD models return EPA-estimated city/highway fuel economy of 29/36 mpg. AWD fuel economy depends on whether you opt for the Rock Creek, which gets 27/32 mpg, or any other trim, which gets 28/35 mpg. Maximum towing capacity is a modest 1,500 pounds.

Interior
The 2026 Nissan Rogue is a five-passenger, two-row crossover SUV with 31.6 cubic feet of cargo capacity behind the second row and a max storage capacity of 74.1 cubic feet. It has standard cloth upholstery with manual seat adjustments. But, synthetic leather and semi-aniline leather seating surfaces are available as you level up, as are power seat adjustments. A moonroof is not available on the S, SV, or Rock Creek trims, though it is standard on the Dark Armor and Platinum trims.
Technology
With the deletion of the well-equipped SL trim, most 2026 Nissan Rogue models are available only with an 8-inch infotainment screen and wired-in Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. While a four-speaker audio system is standard, a six-speaker system is standard on the Dark Armor and Rock Creek trims, and the top Platinum trim gets the 10-speaker premium Bose audio system. Tech features you’ll only see on the Platinum trim include a 12.3-inch infotainment screen, a 12.3-inch digital cluster, Google built-in, a real-time weather display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and heated rear seats.
