In 1989, Lexus was originally launched in the North American market as Toyota’s premium brand. It is now sold globally. Lexus is headquartered in Japan, but some of its products are produced at Toyota/Lexus manufacturing facilities in North America. The ES sedan and TX SUV are built in the United States. The RX and NX SUVs are built in Canada. All other models are assembled in Japan and imported to the United States.
