About 2000 Toyota 4Runner
The 2000 Toyota 4Runner remained almost identical to the 1999 model, with a base engine of a 2.7-liter I4, and a 3.4-liter V6 as an upgrade (also standard on the Limited model). Toyota seemed to concentrate on improving the rear end of this model, with chrome bumpers and a rear defroster and intermittent wiper. The 4Runner did not need many other improvements to its exterior: it was consistently praised for its style and ground clearance. Owners and reviewers continued to complain about the weakness of the I4. How do you power such a large truck on so little power? The engine has to be revved hard to reach the 150 horsepower the brochures claim it is rated.
