There are 701 listings available, which suggests a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2016 Audi A4 a good car?

Yes — the 2016 Audi A4 earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. The overview describes it as a well-rounded compact luxury sedan with a refined ride, practical interior space, improved cargo capacity, and useful technology such as adaptive cruise control and Drive Select. It also notes that the cabin feels more modern than many rivals of its era, though the back seat is cramped and some older tech can feel dated. With 33.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful chance to find a competitive offer.

Is the 2016 Audi A4 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The overview also says the 2016 model’s final two years had no major changes, which can be reassuring if you want a mature version of the design. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the specific car you choose has been maintained well and hasn’t accumulated hidden wear.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Audi A4?

At 58.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any reported damage was repaired properly. Put inspection priority on body condition, panel alignment, and signs of inconsistent wear, then make sure the cabin electronics and comfort features work as expected. Because this model is valued for its balance of refinement and technology, condition matters as much as mileage.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Audi A4?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without rushing.

• Deal availability: 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 701 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.01% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 58.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $11,241, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Audi A4's resale value?

The current average of $11,346 sits slightly below last year's $12,071.

That softer pricing suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point. If you plan to sell later, the current trend means your future resale value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the car is documented. A clean history and strong maintenance records should matter more when the market is already pricing in depreciation.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Audi A4 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 58.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.01% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2017 if:

• At $13,637, the 2017 costs more than the current year's $11,346 average.
• The redesign brings a fresh start with a more advanced cabin and Virtual Cockpit.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2016 if you want the better value and are comfortable shopping carefully for condition and history. If you want the newer redesign and are willing to pay more, the 2017 is the stronger upgrade path; price-sensitive buyers will likely find the 2016 the smarter buy.
