Is the 2021 Audi A4 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview points to a well-rounded design with efficiency, technology, and everyday usability, which supports the case for steady ownership. Its available all-wheel drive and updated mild-hybrid powertrain also suggest a mature, confidence-inspiring package rather than a risky one. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the car’s core appeal and more about choosing a clean, well-maintained example.

What should I look for when buying a used 2021 Audi A4?

At 72.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. Put inspection priority on body condition, panel alignment, and signs of inconsistent wear, since those can reveal past incidents that matter more than cosmetic presentation. It also makes sense to focus on the cabin and electronics, because this model’s appeal depends heavily on its technology and overall condition.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2021 Audi A4?

This looks like a moderate market where selective buyers can still find value if they shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 35.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 360 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.08% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 72.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $21,459, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2021 Audi A4's resale value?

The current average of $21,459 sits slightly below last year's $23,344.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, the softer pricing means resale gains may be harder to realize unless you buy well and keep the car in excellent condition. Strong equipment, clean history, and careful maintenance should matter more when it comes time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2021 Audi A4 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2021 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2021 if:

• 35.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 72.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.08% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $22,933, the 2022 costs more than the current year's $21,459 average.
• It feels remarkably fresh and adds stronger safety appeal.

The bottom line: You should start with the 2021 if your priority is value, because it combines a lower average price with solid owner satisfaction and meaningful deal availability. If you can stretch your budget and want the newer-year feel, the 2022 is the better secondary path; if price matters most, the 2021 is the smarter buy.
