That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle. Should I buy a 2022 Audi A5 Sportback or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 38.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.69% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2022 is a sensible primary choice if you want to shop a year with meaningful inventory and a softer price trend. If you are especially price-sensitive, compare it against nearby model years to see whether a lower asking price or a better-condition example gives you more value for your budget.
