Overview

Audi e-tron family of electric vehicles is growing. In addition to the e-tron, e-tron Sportback, the all-new 2022 Audi e-tron GT adds a rakish, sporty sedan to the lineup. Where the previous e-tron vehicles leaned heavily towards crossover/SUV body styles, the GT is a low-slung four-door with a couple-like profile. In fact, the e-tron GT shares a platform with the Porsche Taycan.
The e-tron GT comes in three variants—Premium Plus, Prestige, and RS—and features an expectedly high-tech cockpit, highlighted by a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel and a 10.1-inch MMI infotainment touchscreen. The e-tron GT also comes standard with a flat-bottomed steering wheel wrapped in Alcantara. It’s also available with leather.
Audi will launch the e-tron GT in base and sportier RS specifications. The base e-tron GT features a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive (AWD) setup. The front motor puts out 235 horsepower while the rear motor makes 429 hp, resulting in a net 469 hp. An over-boost function raises output to 522 hp for short bursts, allowing the e-tron GT to sprint from zero to 60 mph in just 2.5 seconds, according to Audi.
The RS e-tron GT features a more potent 450-hp rear motor, resulting in a net 590 hp, or 637 hp with the short-burst over-boost function. Audi says the RS e-tron GT can do the zero to 60 mph run in just 3.1 seconds on the way to a top track speed of 155 mph.
The e-tron GT also features a two-speed transmission, improving its long-haul, high-speed efficiency. The RS e-tron GT adds four-wheel steering, and an air suspension system. Audi estimates a 238-mile range for the e-tron GT and a 232-mile range for the RS e-tron GT.
Base MSRP for the 2022 Audi e-tron GT is $99,900 for a Premium Plus model. The Prestige trim starts at $107,100, and the high-performance RS e-tron GT starts at $139,900. The e-tron GT is expected to arrive in showrooms in mid-2021.

How much does the 2022 Audi e-tron GT cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $43,358 |
| Year-Round Low | $42,242 |
| Year-Round High | $50,048 |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $50,107 |
| Change vs. Last Year | −13.47% |
Prices have softened 13.47% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.
There are 102 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you decide.
Is the 2022 Audi e-tron GT a good car?
With no expert test-drive data available here, your best read comes from the market itself: the 2022 Audi e-tron GT is trading at a lower average price than it was a year ago, and the listing pool includes a meaningful share of deal-priced examples. That combination suggests you can shop selectively and still find competitive options if you focus on condition and pricing.
26.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to be selective without waiting for a perfect market.
What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Audi e-tron GT?
Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
Even with strong clean-inventory coverage, you should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the car’s records match the listing. Prioritize a thorough inspection of the battery-related systems, charging equipment, tires, brakes, and any signs of uneven wear or cosmetic repair. Focus on overall condition and maintenance consistency, since those details matter most when you’re comparing similarly priced examples.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Audi e-tron GT?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient and price-aware.
- Deal availability: 26.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 102 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 13.47% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 95.1% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $42,242, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2022 Audi e-tron GT's resale value?
The current average of $43,358 sits slightly below last year's $50,107.
For a future seller, that price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, so your resale outcome will depend heavily on mileage, condition, and how well the car is presented. If you buy well now and keep the car in strong shape, you may be better positioned than someone who pays closer to the top of the range. The current pricing also means you should think carefully about how long you plan to own it, since near-term resale may remain sensitive to market softness.
Should I buy a 2022 Audi e-tron GT or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2022 if:
- 26.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Accident-free inventory is excellent at 95.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 13.47% compared with last year.
The bottom line:
The 2022 is a sensible primary choice if you want a year with softer pricing and a decent share of deal-priced listings. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a similar car offers a better entry price or a stronger deal mix, but the 2022 already gives you a reasonable starting point for a selective search.
