Used 2022 Chevrolet Traverse for Sale nearCincinnati, OH

How much does the 2022 Chevrolet Traverse cost?

Prices have softened 13.04% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 6,066 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing prices and trims.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Traverse a good car?

Yes — the 2022 Chevrolet Traverse earns a 4.86/5 user rating and a 7.17/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise the spacious interior, large cargo area, and helpful safety features. The roomy cabin and comfortable seating also come through as recurring positives, which fits a three-row SUV aimed at families who want space without moving up to a larger full-size SUV.

The trade-offs are clear: it can be noisy, it has excessive float on uneven pavement, and the interior materials feel cheap. In practical terms, that means you should value it most if you want a roomy, useful SUV with easy-to-use tech and a stylish design, not if you’re chasing a quieter or more upscale driving experience.

Good and great deals account for 34.5% of listings, so there is still room to shop selectively.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Traverse reliable?

Owners rate it 4.86/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a dependable-feeling SUV with a powerful engine, spacious interior, and helpful safety features. That combination suggests you can count on it for everyday family use, especially if you value comfort and practicality over flashier driving dynamics.

The test-drive data also supports that impression with a strong, well-matched V6 drivetrain and predictable handling. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the Traverse’s comfort and convenience strengths can be offset by wear-related concerns if the vehicle has been neglected.

What should I look for when buying a used 2022 Chevrolet Traverse?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any candidate and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually attractive. Focus on overall condition, because a roomy family SUV can hide a lot of wear in the cabin, suspension, and exterior trim.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base LS starts with front-wheel drive and a 7-inch touchscreen, while higher trims add an 8-inch display, more upscale interior touches, and more available convenience features.
• Powertrain: You get a 3.6-liter V6 with 310 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission, plus available all-wheel drive and drive modes for towing, snow, and off-road use.
• Safety package: Chevy Safety Assist is standard and includes forward-collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, automatic high-beam headlights, and a following-distance indicator. The optional Safety Package for the LS adds rear parking assist sensors, blind-spot monitoring, lane-change assist, and rear cross-traffic alert; those features are standard on other trims.
• Infotainment: Lower trims get a 7-inch touchscreen, while other versions use an 8-inch high-definition display. Both systems include Bluetooth for two smartphones, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, connected services, and a WiFi hotspot; the system can also add navigation, SiriusXM 360L, Alexa Built-in, and a Bose premium audio system on higher trims.
• Fuel efficiency: The AWD model is rated at 20 mpg in combined driving, and the test vehicle returned 20.9 mpg on the evaluation loop.

Which 2022 Chevrolet Traverse trim should I buy?

The 2022 Chevrolet Traverse is offered in 6 trim levels: LS, LT Cloth, LT Leather, RS, Premier, High Country.

Here's the short version:

• LS: This is the entry point, and it makes sense if you want the Traverse’s core space and utility at the lowest starting price. It gets the 7-inch touchscreen and standard Chevy Safety Assist, but you’ll want to compare it carefully against higher trims if you value more convenience and tech.
• LT Cloth: This is the value-oriented step up if you want a more complete everyday setup without jumping too far in price. It keeps the practical family focus while moving you closer to the better-equipped versions.
• LT Leather: This trim is the better pick if you want a more upscale cabin and more available safety tech without going all the way to the top of the range. It can also be optioned with upgrades that are standard on higher trims.
• RS: This is the style-forward choice, with blacked-out trim and 20-inch wheels, plus standard Bose audio and the more advanced safety upgrades. It suits you best if you want a more distinctive look and a richer feature set.
• Premier: This is the best-value trim if you want a strong mix of comfort, tech, and safety upgrades without paying for the top badge. It also gets the vibrating Safety Alert Seat.
• High Country: This is the top-end choice if you want the most upscale Traverse experience, including the same advanced safety content as the RS and Premier plus the most premium positioning in the lineup.

Chevy Safety Assist is standard across the lineup, while the optional Safety Package on the LS and the added driver-assistance features on higher trims are worth paying attention to.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2022 Chevrolet Traverse?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on strong listings.

• Deal availability: 34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 6,066 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.04% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 81.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $24,737, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2022 Chevrolet Traverse's resale value?

The current average of $24,737 sits slightly below last year's $28,447.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price, you reduce the chance of taking a steep depreciation hit in the near term.

For a future seller, the key is to buy well and keep the vehicle in strong condition. A well-maintained Traverse with desirable equipment and clean history should be easier to move than one with visible wear or a questionable record.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.86/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2022 Chevrolet Traverse safe?

The 2022 Chevrolet Traverse gets top “Good” ratings in collision-related tests except in a new, more stringent side-impact test, where it rates “Acceptable.”

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Chevy Safety Assist is standard on all trim levels and includes forward-collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, automatic high-beam headlights, and a following-distance indicator. The optional Safety Package on the LS adds rear parking assist sensors, blind-spot monitoring, lane-change assist, and rear cross-traffic alert; those features are standard on the other trims.

Higher trims add adaptive cruise control, higher-speed automatic emergency braking, and rear pedestrian alert, while the Safety Alert Seat is exclusive to Premier and High Country. One notable shortcoming is that the Traverse does not offer lane-centering assist.

Should I buy a 2022 Chevrolet Traverse or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 81.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.04% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.86/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus Chevy Safety Assist as standard equipment.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $21,526, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $24,737 average.
• It offers a spacious interior and a powerful engine.

The bottom line: If you want the better-equipped Traverse with updated tech and standard safety content, the 2022 is the cleaner choice. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2021 remains a sensible alternative, especially if you can find one in strong condition and with the right equipment.
